Chakula Chema completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the coconut rice with beef and honestly, it was out of this world – perfectly cooked, fragrant, and bursting with flavor. It was so good that I didn’t even get the chance to take a photo because I devoured it the moment it arrived!
This was hands down the best meal I’ve had on my entire trip. The balance of spices, the quality of ingredients, and the warmth of the dish made it unforgettable. If you’re in the area and love authentic, flavorful food, do not miss this place. I will be dreaming about that coconut rice with beef for a long time!

Prima volta al MOG, spazio a Genova ricco di esperienze enogastronomiche. Abbiamo provato la cucina Kenyota da Chakula Chema ed è stata una sorpresa! Abbiamo preso la piadina con manzo e gran masala, e quella con i legumi. Sapori unici, proporzioni abbondanti, assolutamente consigliata come cucina. Inoltre è stato entusiasmante osservare le ragazze che ballavano mentre cucinavano. Le ho adorate!

Il servizio non c’è, perché non è un ristorante ma un corner dentro il mercato centrale. Si ordina, poi ci si siede e si aspetta che si venga chiamati mediante una tavoletta che suona. Anche il bere va preso da un’altra parte. Buono anche il conto.

Que sorpresa de lugar. La comida deliciosa, una opción para quienes son vegetarianos o intolerantes al gluten. También hay opciones con carne. Yo pedí un Wali na pojo y unas verduras al curry, por eso la foto tiene arroz encima porque combine platos, pero todo es rápido y muy delicioso. Yo nunca había probado la comida de Kenia y quedé maravillada del sazón, la porción y lo delicioso. Lo súper recomiendo.
