The biggest downside was the wait time; it took over 40 minutes just to get this order. Overall, an okay experience but definitely needs improvement in food quality and service speed.
My feedback was shared based on my personal experience during that visit and was intended to be honest and constructive. I understand that unexpected issues can occur, especially for growing businesses, and I respect the passion and hard work that goes into building a local café.
I appreciate your hospitality and your commitment to improving and growing. Wishing you continued success, and I hope things run more smoothly moving forward.
Apart from the cake, the authentic Indian food that is being served from street food varieties to parathas to dosa/idly are very tasty and reasonably priced. Mix bhajji, Aloo Paratha and Chola Bhatura are always on our menu along with Masala tea. The people over here are friendly too. It is a must visit cafe for our son during the weekends.
I was so impressed with everything about this Cafe that I hosted my birthday party here.
Kedar Ji was so kind, so gracious and took care of everything. I am glad I choose to host my birthday here.
I highly recommend this place. Food, hospitality everything is top notch ❤️
Absolutely epic food, right here in Canton, heck even across the state of Michigan! Not an understatement when they mention people coming in all the way from Kalamazoo or Benton Harbor for this kind of authentic taste & flavor!
The owners make everyone feel right at home, whether it be by helping through the menu, stopping by and checking on how the food is, or taking care of their guests like family, this place makes you experience how cafe & dhaba culture back home really is like!
What we had and how we rate them:
Peri Peri Fries – 10/10 – Nice hint of peri peri powder, on crisp and well done potato fries Kadak Chai – 10/10 – You can actually taste the essence of the tea leaves and the thickness of the concoction
Maska Bun – 99/10 – Been a while since I’ve had such an amazing maska bun, heck even the ones in India fall flat many times. This here was epic, buttery, sweet and melted in my mouth! Absolute flavor bomb, packed in an appropriate portion size! One wont do enough; order a bunch and feel satisfied!
Pav Bhaji – 9/10 – Simple, homely, flavorful with the right mix of spices and butter
Benne Dosa – 99/10 – Reminds you of exactly how food back in Bengaluru is! The spice mix, the crispness of the dosa complemented by its soft inner texture, the sambar that is simply out of the world, and the benne aka butter to top it off! Heavenly flavor, authentic af; been to many Kannada restaurants across the US, and this has to take the winners medal for the best authentic benne dosa!
Alfredo Pasta – 9/10 – Simple, cozy, cheesy for those cold Michigan nights
Molten Lava Cake – 10/10 Served in style, with a nice mushy warm soft chocolate cake, and a cone full of chocolate ice cream melting away at the cake, to come home and pack an insane flavor to finish the meal off!
What we would definitely recommend based on what we ate/saw:
Benne Dosa
Malai Bun
Pav Bhaji
Thali & tiffins – Will try next time
Sambar Rice – Will try next time
Veggie Maharaja Burger – Will try next time
Bombay Sandwich – Will try next time
Did I mention benne dosa and malai bun!
And much more…
Thanks again for a great time! Please keep doing this for everyone in Michigan, that wants to experience what being home in India feels like, right in the heart of Michigan, USA!
In regard to food, I would say it is ok, nothing wow.. Items that we tried
1. Vada pav – Ok, vada is fresh but the pav is ordinary
2. Muska Bun – Same pav used in Vada pav with lots of butter applied, wish it was heated few seconds in microwave so the butter is melted
3. Benne Dosa – No complaint on dosa but the chutney and sambar are just ordinary
4. Mirchi Bhaji – Bigggg disappointment, too greasy, thick small chilli stuffed with something, definitely noooo
5. Tea – definitely not for south indian..
No second time to this place.
Ambience is very good with traditional Indian vibes. For someone who is missing Indian snacks and ginger chai , this is the best place.
They are yet to add more items to menu. So far Paratha and planner samosa are good.
