This place was a nice surprise. Decided to give it a try on a whim as other mexican restaurants in the area were fairly disappointing, but this one was good. Their beef and chicken were very flavorful. I would recommend ordering a fajita plate next time as the taco al carbon just did not seem to have enough of it (as I just wanted more, since it was so good ). It is a fairly small location with parking being shared with the multitude of other establishments. Due to it being small on the inside the volume level can get pretty high making it hard to talk, if you sit inside. Service here was good, nothing over the top as they were short and to the point, but quick.

Food would be good if you could get it hot. I ordered fajitas and they were barely warm and totally not grilled. Charro beans were lukewarm. My dining companion got enchiladas and they were barely warm. The chips and salsa are always good. The service could be better and the waiters need to write down the order instead of doing it by memory because they always get something wrong.

I ordered a ground beef chimichanga yesterday with beef gravy and they gave me a chicken chimichanga! She even asked me if I wanted fajita or ground and I said ground and still came home with chicken! I couldn’t take it back because the restaurant was closed by the time i opened the package! Please listen and confirm the order! I even left a tip! Just to not get what I wanted! Uugh! And she asked me what kind of beef! Matter of fact that’s not my name! She gave me somebody else’s order! I hope Erica enjoyed her meal because it was also burnt. This is my first bad meal here, but I it’s ok.

We ate at this restaurant while we were in Houston. To start, the hostess was great she greeted and welcomed us in and had us seated In no time, I had got the steak quesadilla and a side of queso , they make the tortillas in house which is really good they are very good. The queso is very creamy and flavorful it’s perfect for dipping your warm tortilla chips in that they give you when you sit down and they are nice and warm and crunchy! They do have vegetarian options as my partner got the cheese enchilada and she said it was absolutely amazing, the kids got chicken fingers and fries and loved them of course , and someone at the table also ordered the chicken sizzling fajitas and put the queso sauce on it and said it was perfect. The only thing that I have that’s on the negative side is that the staff is really slow, the waiter took a really long time to take our order and then once he brought the food he didn’t even come back to check on us and then took forever to bring us our checks. Another lady working came around and gave us refills on our drinks. I still recommend coming to this place if you like authentic Mexican food because the homemade tortillas and stuff make the place worth it , no complaints about the food it was delicious!!

The fried shrimp and jalapeño appetizer is a must! It is delicious. For the main course I had had the floutas also delicious. The salsa is some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Chachi’s was spectacular- from the energetic atmosphere to the delicious food.
We started with chips and salsa – very good to pick on while reviewing the menu.
Our waiter suggested the Chachi appetizer special – it was a great sampling of food.
We had a carne asada – which was delicious. Perfectly cooked.
We also tried the Mahi Mahi and Shrimp dish – this was awesome !!
I highly recommend a trip to Chachi’s for a great evening and dinner.

The girl bartenders were not welcoming and pretty much ignored us as we were trying to place a drink order. Also, they over charged my skinny margarita and charged me $22 because it was “to go”, and my friend ordered another drink “to go” and it was priced the same as the menu. This isn’t the first the time these bartenders have been unpleasant. Take your business elsewhere.

Chachi’s was packed at lunch on Sunday. Chips and salsa is tasty, but the green verde sauce is a little too tangy for me. My fish tacos were over cooked and needed a sauce. The Tyler Special was really good and the stuffed avocado needed more meet. I personally think the kitchen was slammed. Normally the food is spot on.

I’m in a local group of retired folks who like to dine out for lunch once a month and for March we went here. They seated us quickly which was nice as there were 12 of us. Chachi’s is a lively place with music playing and everyone talking. The food was quite good, probably the most authentic in our area of town.

Food was good & affordable, got the appetizer platter. Happy hour margaritas were terrible. I got a skinny Rita later and it was great & very strong but it was $20, for a regular 16 ounce cup which is way too pricey
