I stopped by this place on a weekday afternoon around 5 p.m. and started with a cup of chai. The tea was a pretty standard Indian milk tea. They did add a hint of cinnamon, which I personally don’t love, but overall it was still decent.

I ordered dabeli, a Gujarati-style Indian street snack. Think of it as an Indian street-food version of a sandwich: mashed potatoes mixed with tangy, spicy, and slightly sweet flavors, along with peanuts and spices, stuffed inside a butter-toasted pav (soft bread). It’s incredibly flavorful, a real flavor bomb; even though it’s mostly potato-based with no protein.

I also tried papdi chaat, another classic Indian street food. It’s a cold, chaat-style dish loaded with crunchy papdi, yogurt, potatoes, chutneys, pomegranate, and a mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. This one was also reasonably good as well.

While neither dish was the absolute best I’ve ever had, considering being in California, I’d say they were reasonably good and satisfying. If you’re craving Indian street food, this place is definitely worth a try.

The food at this Chaat Bhavan location is great, and the ambience is a step up compared to their other spots. Dahi Batata Sev Puri and the Methi Chaman Paneer curry were delicious. Yuvraj provided excellent service and made us feel very welcome.

An Indian restaurant with good food, service and atmosphere. Gives great experience for the money. Their chaat items are delicious. Dine-in experience is very good compared with most of the Indian restaurants of the same tier.

Ordered the gobi paratha and saag. Both were good. Gursimran and Yuvraj were both fantastic with their service. Love that they are using compostable take out containers which don’t have the PFA lining inside. Bathroom was wet and bit mucky so that is something they should look into.

The food was Decent. It can be a bit better. But this post is about Vegan options they have. I had Tofu Tikka masala, Manchow soup, Tandori Roti and Vegan coconut Sago Kheer

They have more vegan options, Daal, bhindi, Rajma, some salads and snacks .

I would request you to add more vegan options. You have so many things on the menu that can easily be vegan.

Also YOU NEED TO INTRODUCE VEGAN THAALI. A lot of options on your menu are vegan why don’t you just mix it up and add it as a thaali?

We need more vegan options. Thank you for the existing ones

Restaurant was clean although it smelled quite musty. Service was polite and fast. Their masala soda was good, the basket chaat was okay. They have lots of Jain food dishes which was great, and they also had Undhiyo Poori which isn’t very common on menus – it tasted great!

I ordered the Chur Chur Naan with Dal Makhani and it was not worth the price. I paid $17.99 plus tax, and the naan they served was not chur chur naan. It was small, flat and looked more like a lacha paratha. When I asked about it, the staff member was rude and simply said, “They are two, not one,” instead of listening to my concern. Chur chur naan is supposed to be flaky, crushed and tandoor-made, but this was nothing like that. The portion size and the service both felt disappointing. I left feeling like I did not get what I paid for.

Chaat Bhavan serves up a colorful mix of North Indian street food and classic dishes. The chole bhature is hearty and flavorful, while the pav bhaji is rich and buttery. Paneer tacos offer a fun fusion twist, and the chat basket burst with tangy, crunchy goodness. A great spot for variety and bold Indian flavors.

A very good restaurant!
Food was yum. We had the paneer tikka sizzler, chole bharure, and sweet lassi.
Special mention to the chutneys with the tikka…sooo good.
The bhatura was so soft, it was breaking while lifting.
The place was as desi as it gets. Have never seen so much crowd as for this one in Bay Area. So kudos to the service.

This is our go-to place for North Indian food. Since our family is vegetarian, we appreciate the wide variety of options available here. The kids especially love the Signature Malai Paneer, which is mild and flavorful. We also enjoy the Dum Aloo, and their bread selection—including Tandoori Roti, Naan, and Ajwain Paratha—is consistently good.

Their Chinese Bhel is a tasty snack worth trying as well. We didn’t enjoy the taste of pav bhaji as much. Service is quick, and the ambience is pleasant—definitely a notch above the Fremont and Sunnyvale branches, thanks to the newer setup.
Highly recommended!
