The restaurant has a full bat and staff that’s attentive to our requests. Take their suggestions and you won’t be disappointed. Pair your food with their seasonal cocktails or the IPAs and you can’t go wrong. Their shrimp huaraches are a must try.

We came here to celebrate the beginning of 2026. Had a wonderful experience with the food and services. Food portion is quite big and we couldn’t even finish the 2nd entry after two appetizers. But we still ordered the dessert to conclude the meal. Server was very considerate as she saw we having four people, so she suggested us to add the fourth taco with only $3 extra. Overall price was very reasonable for the lunch.

We will definitely come back to try their dinner menu.

Chaak has had my heart from the very first time I stepped through the door. Hands down one of my absolute favorite dining experiences—and without question some of the most delicious food you’ll find in Orange County. The majority of their wine list features Mexican wines, and they are truly to die for. We paired a Rosé and a Cabernet with several standout dishes—from the carne crudo and pulpo to the chayote and hongos. Every bite was thoughtful, bold, and unforgettable. It’s no surprise they’ve earned a Michelin Star for 2025. An extraordinary restaurant in every sense. ✨ ️

Michelin Rated – We went on a date night on a Tuesday around 9. We didn’t have any reservations but because we went around the time they we were about to close.

Now for the star of the show: the delicious food. We got the CHAAK Caesar and wow it was delicious! The best Cesar salad we’ve had! We got the Castacan which are 2 confit pork belly tacos and the Cochinita Pibil, which we shared everything between 2 people. The pork belly tacos were INCREDIBLE. The pork belly melts in your mouth and holy cow the tortillas were so good. The Cochinita Pibil – another incredible dish! It came with tortillas and a side of sauces, it was perfect! All three dishes were great for 2 people. Everything was fresh, had incredible flavors and was delicious.

The drinks were great too! We got the carajillos and some bartender crafted drinks that weren’t in the menu!

We went to Chaak Kitchen for Valentine’s Day dinner and it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was romantic, warm, and perfect for a special night out.

We asked our server, Derek, for recommendations and just trusted him to order for us — and he absolutely nailed it. Every dish that came out was incredible. The flavors were bold, authentic, and beautifully presented. It made the whole experience feel effortless and elevated.

I had an Old Fashioned and my wife had a margarita — both were perfectly balanced and crafted with care.

Derek’s service truly made the night special. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and guided us perfectly through the menu without being overbearing.

One of the best Valentine’s dinners we’ve had. We’ll definitely be back.

Honestly, the menu looks interesting because it has different options, its a different style of mexican cousine, for example, cochinita pibil, duck, and non-spicy ceviche. However, the enchiladas were impossible to eat because they were so spicy, and the sauce had a mole-like texture, with only cheese as the protein. Based on what we ate, the protein portions are very small and don’t justify the cost. The site is so beautiful and the coctails are so good.

Great spot on a cute block with an awesome vibe. The staff is friendly, the décor is lovely, and the cocktails are excellent. The menu is fresh and delicious—we especially enjoyed the branzino and the Caesar salad. It would be great to see even more seasonal dishes added.

By far, one of the best meals we’ve had in the OC area! We went on a date night on a Saturday around 6pm. We didn’t have any reservations but because we went around the time they opened, we were able to get seated outside within 10 min of arriving.

The drinks were great too! We got the Hibiscus + Grapefruit Margarita and Espinoza drinks and we loved them!!! We also got the Bombas dessert to go and wow-they do not miss! We recommend!

Nothing missed at CHAAK and now it is my favorite restaurant! We will be back! Definitely recommend visiting and trying it out for yourself!

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Orange county. It’s very fairly priced for the quality of dishes your getting which literally blast your mouth with multiple flavors. The sauces, prep, and qualify of the food itselves are 10/10. I go here on special occasions with my wife and with clients whose taste buds I want to blow.

Food was good but not the Mayan food I know from Yucatan. The mix plate’s sausage was more like a kielbasa than something more authentic. I guess the food was geared more for a local palate than to the traditional native cuisine.
