We absolutely loved this place!
It’s been a while that I had such a good and filling breakfast.
My husband took the croque monsieur with the soup. I’m usually not a big fan but I had a bite and it was really good!
I took the Norwegian crepe with buckwheat flour and I asked for an additional poached egg on top. This crêpe was so good and so filling! It’s real big portions of salmon inside, not just little bites of smoked salmon, it was absolutely delicious!
My friends took french toast and egg Benedict, they said it was really good too.
I wish I had enough space to try dessert, I guess I’ll just have to come back!

This is a great place. This isn’t really a cafe it’s more of a sit down restaurant with a menu and a sever.

Finding the place so easy if you follow maps.

Service was good. The staff were very friendly and professional. However they did forget about my food I ordered. And didn’t provide silverware. Had to steal it from the table next to us.

The food looked amazing they had so many good choices and pastries that I’ve never seen before. The food we ordered was absolutely amazing the soup and avocado toast were wonderful. And pistachio cake tasted amazing with my cappuccino.

Great place and good food. Just could do better with service and attention to details.

We’ve recently moved from Chicago and found our new fav French spot! Have enjoyed many a fabulous croissant and espresso in the very capable hands of Gregory, John and Carol, but it was our delight this week to attend the wine tasting dinner hosted in conjunction with the culinary team at C’est La Vie Sarasota. If only one could taste the delicacies featured in these photos…Be sure to keep this gem in mind for your next breakfast, lunch or brunch, and do not miss the ongoing wine tasting series for a delectable experience!

We sat outside on their patio for Saturday brunch, we were eight plus a toddler. They had a great brunch menu in addition to the very French regular breakfast/lunch menu. Avocado toast, crepes, fried potatoes, side salads, mimosas, delicious coffees, Aperol spritz- all very good. The waiter was very helpful with the menu items and service was quick. Patio tables were moved around to accommodate our group size. No reservations, no wait either.

Picked up a friend from the hospital. We were both pretty hungry. But we agreed that we wanted to eat local. This newly opened cafe is wonderful. I had a Paris baguette (simple ham, cheese, and butter). My friend had sandwich with Brie, apples, and walnuts. She also has a salad. Neither of us could eat more than half the sandwich. But that did not stop us from bringing home dessert. We brought a raisin roll and apple strudel home for later. Everything was outstanding and delicious. Prices were extremely reasonable.
The manager (owner) did come over to see how we liked our meal. He told us a little bit of history that was involved in opening this particular place. Our waiter was wonderful and attentive. All the food and bakery looked so delicious. I’m definitely looking forward to returning.
Sadly, I don’t live in Florida. I’m just visiting a friend. But I do hope to return at least one more time before I go home.

The best French bakery goods in Lakewood Ranch. Their breakfast, lunch and dinner selections are also terrific. A simple sandwich on their delicious baguette or ciabatta is so yummy and their fresh soups (today’s was broccoli and squash) are homey and scrumptious.

The owner Gregory is a pleasant chap and his staff is friendly and attentive. There is also outdoor seating that overlooks a small tranquil pond. A great place to drop by for a relaxed meal (breakfast, lunch or a dinner) or to pick up your favorite French bakery items.

C’est la vie is a real gem of French goodness, check it soon when you are in Lakewood Ranch.

Do try it today.
