Georgia offered me a nostalgic feeling of the climate in France, So I knew this would be the place I call home. I opened my first restaurant in Washington GA.

Attended Valentines dinner Saturday evening. We were warmly greeted and they were able to accommodate our table request. Started with cocktails, then moved to nice bottle of California cab sauv. The salmon appetizer was very good and looked great on the plate. Steak entree had yummy gorgonzola dipping sauce, and tasty roast garlic with green beans. Dessert was pastry heart with delicious creamy center. In summary, food was really good and the server tried her best but there were a couple issues. Apparently our order was mixed up with another table so she had to reconfirm our order. Biggest gripe was the entire dinner took 2-1/4hrs, with long spans between courses and even getting drinks. The restaurant was only half full throughout entire time with 3 servers so not sure where the bottleneck was (we like to enjoy fine dining at leisurely pace but this was rediculous). Spent $210 with tip for two, did not think it was a great value for our experience.

This place is my new favorite restaurant. French chef that’s actually French but doesn’t limit their selves to only French food. They truly understand flavor pairing and texture. Even the deserts are out of this world delicious. I feel like the town of Washington flew to the French Riviera, kidnapped their top chef and brought him home to Washington Ga as their prisoner.

I lived in Paris for a year a ways back— the boeuf bourguignon here compares to some of the best I’ve had over there. (It’s my favorite dish) Great small town feel with “big city” tastes… I highly recommend this place to all. Well worth the drive if you live out of town… its a nice place to walk around and relax after a delicious “repas francais”.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Helen, GA. Everything was made to order, so not a place to stop if in a hurry, but worth the wait. Prices very reasonable, portions very large, and the food was amazing. We will be back!
