It was opened in 1947 and still kickin’! I truly can not rate this place on all of its food. Though as a pizza fiend, this place is in the upper echelon of new jersey! I drove 45 min to try this out and was not disappointed. The place even offers fresh garlic cooked in the pizza. You know that is a rarity already. To top it off, it is a great clean atmosphere, with another unbelievable rarity…….customer service. I know that brings tears to your eyes, as much as it does mine. I mean seriously, polite, kind, funny, and attentive. If it was not some of the best pizzas, I would go back for the service alone. Don’t waste time. Get in your car and experience greatness!

This place is a Bristol gem. We always have a good time here. The owner Donny constantly goes around and chats with everybody. Dave is the most wonderful host who shows to your table. The clams casino, chicken pastina and French onion soups are fabulous. The wait staff are all so friendly and efficient. Also the pizza is outstanding!!!!!! Visit once and you’ll be hooked!!!!

This place has great pizza but so far that’s about it. Have tried quite a few appetizers have not been a fan of any of them so far mozzarella marinara are just frozen mozzarella sticks drowned in marinara sauce which caused them to be soggy instantly. Scallops were overcooked and tasted very fishy. Fries undercooked. They do have red cream soda on fountain which is a plus also

I love this local Italian-American gem! The food is always amazing with some of the best pizzas we’ve ever had, especially fans of tomato pies and crispy thin crust. Better than pizzas we’ve had in downtown Philly, NJ and NY, no joke!

2nd time getting our tomato pie in here. I LOVE their thin crust plain pizza pies. It got the perfect combo of sauce and cheese. Even if it just take out, the crust stayed so crispy. Can’t wait to order from there gin.

Great old school vibe here. I ordered the tomato pie and it was excellent. Really fresh, cooked well, very tomato forward sauce. They have a decent selection of beer for carryout as well.

Would give zero stars if possible. I’m always looking to go someplace different for dinner on Friday night and Cesare’s was recommended. I checked out the website, their story and menu and thought it would be a good choice, despite the 25 minute drive time. At 5pm I headed over with my husband and father. Getting into the parking lot was a hassle because what looks like the entrance on the main road is one way so you have to find your way to the back of the building on the next road over. You enter the restaurant from the back of the property and walk up a ramp (or the stairs) and enter into a tiny take out area. After squeezing by the 3 customers waiting for their take out orders, there is a door to the dining room. I walked in to find there isn’t a hostess stand and it isn’t obvious if you are supposed to wait or just seat yourself. Didn’t matter though because almost immediately, one man practically ran out from the take-out ktichen and another came over from inside the dining room to tell us that we could not come in because my father was wearing a sleeveless shirt! It was actually a nice shirt (not a tank/tee) and he had on dress shorts). It did not matter that I was also wearing sleeveless as well as other women already seated at tables. Seriously?!? This is not a fancy restaurant and it is located several blocks from the beautiful waterfront. The building is old and the inside matches. We ended up going back into town and had an amazing dinner at El Limon, which I highly recommend if you enjoy Mexican food, but that will be a separate review 🙂 As a side note….A week ago we went to the King George Inn for dinner. That is a beautiful, high end restaurant in a historic building overlooking the Delaware River. They did not care that my father had on a sleeveless shirt!
