Cerveteca LA – Culver City, CA

This is hands down the BEST and most authentic Mexican restaurant on the west side of LA. It was one of the best kept secrets but not anymore.

I’ve been craving a home style breakfast burrito and this place understands the assignment.
I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and I decided to add the guacamole. I don’t typically add guacamole to things, but I was curious. And let me tell you this curious cat is full!

Eggs are beautifully fluffy. There’s not too much cheese in the middle which I appreciate the tater tots are crispy and you can hear them crunch when you bite down. The bacon is nice and crispy as well and that guacamole is so dang flavorful. I highly recommend adding it I wasn’t planning on eating this giant burrito but it’s the best $20 burrito and I’m not eating anything else today.

Overall my experience was good. I ordered the chicken tinga bowel, which i substituted the rice with lettuce but i received my order without the extra lettuce. My food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I like the pickled onions and charred jalpenos. It gave it that nice contrast with the chicken and beans.
You order your food at the window and the seating is all outdoor which gives it a nice vibe. The food is on the more expensive side but totally worth trying.

One order of meatless nachos and one breakfast burrito: “That’s $29.90.” What the heck dude? You’re not even a sit down restaurant and you’re charging that? The $15 bkfast burrito had stale bacon and a dry tortilla. OK, ok, it tasted fine and was sizable. You can’t really screw up a bkfast burrito. As for the $12 nachos? Man, why are you jamming it all into a burrito container a la Taco Bell? Half of the chips were busted up and the guac was a little brown. I went there around 7:30pm and it just seemed like all of the ingredients in everything I ate were sitting out in the open since 11am.

The amount and quality of food for the price is absolutely atrocious. You will find better tasting, more filling tacos at even the worst taco truck you can find on the west side. People working there are nice but this place should have been out of business a long time ago but maybe the margins are so high they only need to trick a handful of people every day to break even.

This food truck has transformed into an authentic Mexican taco spot, and there’s no way you could call it cheap or divey. We got three tacos and two appetizers, and the bill came out to $70.

Each taco had a generous amount of meat, but at $13 to $14 per taco, plus $5 for each handmade corn tortilla, each taco ends up being $18 to $20. The food was tasty, but definitely on the pricier side—just don’t get shell-shocked when the check comes.

The staff were fine—nothing special, but they were decent.

I have had this place many times over the years and it’s normally good but had an awful takeout order last night. There was a string in my shrimp burrito. Also, the size of the xtra large guacamole is absurd. It is offensively small for $7.

the chorizo is probably my favorite breakfast burrito — massive portions and the extra sauces add extra dimensions to the already insanely flavorful burrito.

Great menu. Easy to order at the counter and can order online for pickup as well. I ended up getting the chorizo breakfast burrito and was very impressed. Really good size and packed with a lot of meat and eggs. Would highly recommend for a quick bite in Culver City.

This used to be one of my favorite Culver joints but over time the portion sizes have gotten smaller and the cost has gotten higher to the point where they’ve priced out of what they are: which is a counter order takeaway spot. They raised their breakfast burrito price to $18 when eggs prices went up and unlike other spots – never brought it back down. Today I got my last burrito from them – super tiny and with a drink cost be $25. There are plenty of $15 burritos around that will fill you more.

Small open-air restaurant with plenty of seating. Their burrito wad delicious, and their mama’s salsa and habanero salsa added the right kick to my liking. I washed this down with a bottled mexican coca cola and baam, instant bliss. Stop by if you are in the area.
