The service was great, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to expectations. It was mediocre at best and far from authentic Mexican cuisine. We were seated in an area that felt more like a basement or storage space, which made for an unappealing dining atmosphere. Overall, not an enjoyable experience.

I’m very disappointed with the amount of food for the price. I ordered a medium steak fajitas with no rice, instead extra peppers and onions. I didn’t get the extra. And the amount for $13.99 is ridiculous. I paid $7.99 for chips and queso, the container was half full. The salsa was too sweet.

Only game in town for Mexican food and it does the job right!!
If you want to burn yourself a new one, make sure to liberally enjoy their house habanero hot sauce. It’s fantastic. Adds just the right kind of tongue melting spice to any dish. Reasonable price for every item we ordered.
And they do burgers!

Great service. Food was fast and delicious. We were on a mission to rehome a rooster so drove out of our area. Of course, we decided to find a new place to eat. We did and we are glad. I had the vegetarian fajita skillet. Delicious!

I was there days ago and went with my family. The food was delicious. My daughter had a steaming veggie bowl with shrimp ny wife had a soup and loved it. The waitress was excellent she was very polite and professional. Smile on her face. We have been here quite a few times and happy to be back time after time. Keep up the great work

This place is very cute! BUT… If you have a hard time with small spaces or claustrophobic, this might not be for you. Everything’s great about this, affordable food, good quality- whole 9. Just very little room to walk by or around as my waitress had to prop herself on the corner so my people’s could sit.

We both got fajita dishes and a margarita. I believed my fajita dish (with chicken) to be one of the best Mexican food dishes I’ve gotten in Maine! While the ingredients looked quite simple, there was actually flavor! Woo!
Where I think Cervesas truly shined (shone?) was the decor. It reminded me a lot of my time spent in Texas! But don’t worry, we were still in Maine… I double checked to make sure.
One of the only things that could have made our experience better was if we got complimentary chips and salsa 🙂
But we’ll survive! Thank you Newport, ME for welcoming us so warmly with your fajitas!

Cervesas is my favorite place in town to eat. I love the staff there and the food is always good. My favorite thing to have is the southwest fries. I always leave feeling full and satisfied. Great food, good people, amazing margaritas
