The only Crunchwrap (crunch) I enjoy when it’s not 1am in the morning. I come here at least a few times a month specifically to pick up one of these breakfast crunches. They’re nice and thicc (I have to weigh it next time because it genuinely feels like picking up a solid book), super flavorful and very filling. It’s easy to order online and pick it up but there’s also plenty of room inside to have a seat, you don’t even have to wait, just go in and sit wherever.

The food here is amazing. It’s a sit down and order from your food restaurant. We tried a lot of different things, and everything was really good. Will for sure be back. The yucca fries were my favorite. The chips here were nice and thick and crunchy. The “crunch wrap.” Was delicious. The burger was one of the top 10 I’ve had in the area. Smashed with a good bun and seasoning. The only thing that wasn’t super good was the burrito. It was good, but a bit bland. But, adding the salsa and Cholula did the trick.

This place has really upped its game, and extending its menu and overall excellence. Shrimp tacos, anything ordered in trio form, and the veggie burger are all above and beyond, for flavor and value.

People choose restaurants mainly for the food, but the service can make or break it. Thankfully everyone at Centro is effusively hospitable and 0% overbearing. Hats off to Jake behind the bar for going the extra extra extra mile.

Centro Highland feels like a trick of the eye. You walk in and it’s gorgeous, the high ceilings, an open floor plan, the kind of space that makes you think you’ve stumbled onto the perfect social hub. But then the food ordering slips to your phone, where you tip in advance, before a single plate or smile has crossed the table. The staff, for what it’s worth, are genuinely warm and gracious, yet reduced to figures lingering at the periphery, waiting for the ding of your screen before stepping into the light. It’s a strange theater of hospitality.

And then there is the food, the truest disappointment. A “crunch wrap” that crunches nowhere, only breaded chicken with unmelted Colby Jack, its texture more lunchroom than restaurant. Beans and rice so devoid of salt they arrive like a dare to finish them unseasoned. It is all so at odds with the room itself, with the promise of that first wide-open view. What lingers is a nagging question: how can something look so ready for joy, and taste so reluctant to deliver it?

Centro Highland is a great place to eat! The food is tasty, especially the chips with green salsa and guacamole—a must-try. The restaurant has a friendly and hip atmosphere with good service . Quite spacious and short waiting time. If you’re looking for good food, Centro Highland is a solid choice!

Mediocre food overall. Chips and salsa were disappointing—so little salsa was provided that over half the chips were left dry and confused. The hot sauce on the table wasn’t great, and you have to order additional salsa or hot sauce upfront (before even knowing this is the case) to add flavor to your dishes, which costs $3 per side.

I ordered two tacos that were soggy and lacking flavor. The churros—cream cheese filled, with a raspberry dipping sauce—were a touch better than the other items; a unique concept, with decent frying consistency.

This is the first time I have visited the Saint Paul establishment and I don’t think my experience is any different from my times at the Northeast location, which means very good for my case! Food comes out a bit slower here at this location, but that is only because it comes out way too fast at the Northeast one, so if anything, I waited a reasonable amount of time here.

Everything was a hit. From the Brussels sprouts which had creaminess and sweetness in one bowl of roasted veggies to the rice & bean burger which was elevated by the sauce included inside it, the food was just delicious. We ordered the black bean enchiladas and yuca fries as well, and they were both as good as I would expect them to be. The green sauce for the enchiladas were spicy and very flavorful. One bite of the enchiladas must consist of the sauce.

As for the tacos, they are savory, juicy, and very flavorful. If anything, I thought there was an overabundance of meat and not enough white onion or cilantro, but I bet very few people will be critical about that. Anyway, nothing short of amazing. I wouldn’t expect them to taste differently from the tacos at the Northeast location, and it was the case.

I am very happy to have Centro available in Highland Park because that place needed food spots like this one! Please keep it up!

Good food, good vibes, nice interior but the order by iphone system is terrible. It takes forever, impossible to tell if your order is being worked on and very hard to get drinks. Regular servers would be so much better

If you want “fast” food, come here. If you want to socialize and enjoy time with the people you’re eating with… don’t come here.

Everything is order online, which generally is fine, BUT, they don’t allow you to order drinks first, then apps, then entrees and so forth. They make you do your entire order, tip on top of the 10% service charge that they “conveniently” place next to the QR code that you click to get the menu so you obviously aren’t reading it at the time, AND checkout before you can even start talking to your family and friends.

I truly don’t mean to bash. The employees we encountered were nice and the food was good! Bathrooms were nice too. Also, barbacoa means lamb here, FYI. The entire process just caught me by surprise.
