We loved sitting up high above the courtyard enjoying our drinks and great lunch. Very friendly server. Live music was setting up as we were leaving. The quesadillas were good and we enjoyed the flavor of the barbacoa tacos.

Nice location on the second floor with a large outdoor area overlooking the Main Street. Only one draft beer to choose from and served in a small plastic cup that at best was a 10oz pour. Gratuity of 18 percent was not disclosed but automatically added to my bill making it over an $8 for a 10oz beer.

We were in town for meetings and a few of us got an Uber to Ybor and walked around. Some of us stopped to get a drink at the centro cantina. Nice breeze and atmosphere. From the second floor you can see some of ybor.

Edit* not what it used to be. Completely changed the place and atmosphere. It’s no longer Mexican and have tried to move upmarket with “bottle” service and crazy expensive drinks. Lost its charm

The best part about this place is the location and view which makes it a great place to people watch and drink. Other than that, it’s nothing special. The drinks are just ok, although the prices are pretty cheap. I took off stars mainly because they automatically added an 18% gratuity to our party of 4. We had only ordered one round of drinks. From what I’ve noticed, when places do this automatically for everyone (even small parties) it’s because they know that their service sucks and are trying to ensure their servers get tips. I’m just glad we only had one round. Considering there’s so many other drinking options in Ybor, I’m not sure it’s worth going here anymore.

If you want to people watch while eating a great snack/meal, then this is the place to be. I had the fries with cheese and pork. It was GREAT!! Though I do recommend sour cream to go with it as the guacamole-ranch they offered with it was just okay in my opinion. The customer service was great. Sat and people watch’s for about 4 hours and was always checked on by the waitress.

I had a very disappointing experience. They automatically added a 50% tip to my bill without informing me or asking for consent, which is outrageous. To make matters worse, they still prompted me to add another tip on top of that!
This kind of practice feels deceptive and completely unfair to customers. Tipping should always be a choice, not something sneakily added. I would have happily tipped for good service, but this approach left a very bad impression.
Be sure to check your receipt carefully if you visit. I won’t be returning.

Alot of fun in an amazing historical environment. Great staff. Beautiful people. Visited early on a Saturday, comfortable atmosphere with my young grandsons.
