This is officially our go to place now! We tried Central by Saffron Valley today for the first time and it was amazing! The food is the best Indian food we’ve had all over the valley (we’ve searching). Everything was unbeatable quality with memorable flavors.
Everything we tried was beyond our expectations, we cannot wait to try more!
The atmosphere is unmatched especially compared to other Indian restaurants we’ve been too; the lighting is bright and welcoming. The space is beautiful, stylish yet cozy. We took our 15 month old and she was able to be herself in the environment With many issues of bumping into other tables. Perhaps one of the best parts of our visit was the service. The hostess and waitresses were very tentative and friendly, even going as far as giving us an appetizer to try. We will be recommending this place to everyone and we will definitely be back!
We think her name was Saam, she was amazing!

The primary reason people dine at restaurants is to savor authentic food in a welcoming ambiance. Regrettably, authenticity aspect is missing here. Nevertheless, the staff’s attentiveness to customers is noteworthy. This establishment’s distinctive design may appeal to families with young children. Our order consisted of chicken kebab, Hyderabadi Biryani, and Rasmalai cake. The cake was flavorful, whereas the kebab and biryani were disappointingly bland .

We went here for Valentine’s Day and they fit us even even though they were very busy and we didn’t have a reservation. We enjoyed it so much we came back for the lunch buffet the following day. Food and service were both excellent. We have eaten a lot of Indian food. They had some of the classics which were great but we also had some new flavors we really enjoyed. Highly recommend it!

I am not easily convinced a place is this good but the central in downtown really hit the spot. The chai was the right amount of plain and milky for me like the railway side chai. They added green chilli to my Pani puri and that’s a win win for me. The dosa , after a long day – my craving for a simple masala dosa with chutney sambar palya was just soo satisfying. Enjoyed it a lot. The ambience is top notch.

Vibe: The restaurant has a good vibe and is quite spacious.

Service: Food came out in about 15–20 minutes.

Wait Time: We visited on a Saturday for lunch and didn’t have to wait at all—the place was fairly empty.

Food Quality: Overall, the food was just okay and didn’t really impress us. We were served a complimentary dish that tasted like a fried rice ball, which was fine. For starters, we tried Pani Puri and Dahi Puri. The pani puri water lacked flavor, but the dahi puri was tasty.

The Paneer Apricot Kebab was disappointing—the apricot didn’t pair well with the paneer, and the paneer itself was quite tough. The mint chutney was bland and lacked a proper mint flavor.

For mains, we ordered the Malabar Fish Curry, which was average and nothing memorable. The Garlic/Classical Naan was more like pita bread than naan. The Kolhapuri Sabji wasn’t authentic—it tasted more like a regular mixed vegetable curry.

Overall, the food felt bland and underwhelming, and we didn’t enjoy the meal. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return.

Bang for Buck: Around $30 per person, which felt just okay considering the experience.

Location: Easy to find and conveniently located.

Absolutely incredible train ride to FLAVOR TOWN! The most friendly people (plus a couple peaceful robots) serving the most delicious food. Robust flavors in everything we ordered. The Kati rolls, the dahl puri, the masala dosa, and the SWEET NUTTY NAAN will change you life!

We discovered this place by chance and absolutely loved it! Great atmosphere, awesome service, and some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had (and this is a high compliment we don’t give lightly). My husband ordered the sampler menu and it was so fun, an amazing value for everything that was included.

Also, how cool is that Indian Railways train?!

We can’t wait to bring our friends with us next time.

Central by Saffron Valley was a HIT! I was able to attend an event here and it was so great to be able to see the beautiful space that the Saffron Valley team turned this into. We got to enjoy both a New Experience and Wonderful food covered under one roof.

We tried samples off the menu and I loved each dish that they brought out. They had the strawberry lassi, Dahi Puri, fruit and nut Biryani, veg cutlets chicken tikka kebab, and the gulab jamun cheesecake. Everything tasted so good and fresh!

I can’t wait to see what new adventures this restaurant will have. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!

What a magical place! The atmosphere is romantic, yet relaxing and fun for everyone. Food is delivered by robot! Yet our human waiter placed each dish at our table and explained everything. Our waiter was so wonderful and quietly attentive. Every staff member we encountered were amazing and incredible people.
The food was amazing! Indian food is our favorite. Dosas are our favorite Southern Indian food. This place was magical! Everything we had was mouthwateringly savory and delicious. Definitely a WOW and we definitely will be coming back!
Make reservations! We went at 5pm and got in just fine, however by 6pm it was filling up very quickly.
