What really set the night apart, though, was the hospitality. The service was outstanding. Our servers were incredibly attentive and top-notch; we never had to wait for a refill or a dish. It was also impressive to see the management/ownership so involved, walking the floor and personally ensuring every guest was satisfied and well attended to.
The food quality remains excellent, and we really enjoyed the seasonal drink specials—they add a great touch to the menu. It’s rare to find a place that can balance a sports atmosphere with such professional, seamless, personal service. We had a fantastic night and will definitely be back for the next big game. Go Birds!”
(Nov. 2025) Never had a bad meal here. It’s my new regular place. I love the seasonal menu changes. Chef has come to our table to discuss dietary restrictions and has made meals adjusted accordingly.
Saturday 9/28, we had a reservation for 8 and Kerry was our server doing a fabulous job dealing with our group. Just as well was her coworkers and staff being attentive too! First time here I had the chance to meet the chef (Ryan?) sadly I don’t remember the name of the fabulous server that was nice enough to take a picture of of me with Melanie. I had crab soup then beef stroganoff finishing the night with light fluffy pumpkin cheesecake (shared with Melanie it was a large slice) . Everyone agrees to returning for a non-event night because it was so enjoyable.
Before leaving, we also had the chance to meet the owner Larry and had a great conversation with him.
I found the staff to be on their game, quite attentive to helping one another.
WE’LL BE BACK!!!
I ordered the Korean BBQ beef tips (med rare). They came out a perfect med rare and the bbq sauce was a great balence of sweetness with a little bit of spice. The meat itself was extremely tender and delicious.
The kids ordered off of the kids menu and they devoured everything, which is a hard thing to get them to do.
The waitress was extremely friendly and offered some advice about entrees to help us decide what to get. She was very attentive for the duration of our visit as well making sure our drinks were refilled.
Overall I will continue to recommend this place to anyone. They also have a happy hour special with half priced apps.
I got the seasonal salad and my fiance got the crab soup. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. I thought the rolls could use some work, but they were ok, if a little bland.
Main course was the risotto and scallops. Again, the portions were generous and the food was well seasoned. Both of our dishes were hot, and I enjoyed the presentation.
As others have noted, this place is on the pricier end of choices in the area and the food selection was limited for a “tavern.” However, everything we had from the menu was tasty, well proportioned, and timely.
Unrelated to food they had nugget nectar on tap (personal favorite) and the music selection was enjoyable. Everyone is clearly still getting things settled, but we’ll be back to try it again sometime soon.
