My wife and I went on Sunday night as they celebrated 10 years. The place was steadily busy. My wife got the meat loaf which was great and I got the chicken pot pie which was very good but could have a little more gravy as the potatoes soaked the gravy up. Overall the food/drinks, service and experience was good.

Very nice restaurant downtown, the food was really good. We had the Brussels as an appetizer and crispy chicken and cherry chicken croissant, all were amazing, lots of flavor and obviously prepared with fresh ingredients. Home made ranch as a bonus 😉

My husband and I traveled to elk rapids with our baby and service dog and were super stoked to check this place out as a trusted friend recommended it for my husbands birthday lunch.

We were met with discrimination. Initially, the front desk had a young man who was kind and greeted us, confirming our service dog who was vested in his service dog uniform, was in fact a service dog. We said yes. He then said to grab a seat anywhere! The restaurant was not busy, maybe 1/3 full. There were about 7 tables open for us to sit at. Moments later…. A tall older woman interfered as we were about to sit down and told us we couldn’t dine in with a dog. We explained how he was a service dog but that wasn’t good enough. She treated our dog on-duty like a ferocious beast. She then told us we couldn’t sit down and that we had to wait at least 10min. ……. For what??????

She made a super big deal of the service dog dining in, was discriminative and then condescending. She told me that the man who told us we could sit down wasn’t “in charge of the front desk”! If so, he shouldn’t be standing there and greeting guests.

Eventually we were allowed to sit down with our sleeping baby and our trained service animal. But the entire experience was uncomfortable and discriminative. We would have properly celebrated my husbands birthday and ordered more food and drink but we kept it to 1 round of drinks and an appetizer. The food was mediocre.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. And we will be notifying the city of the discrimination to a guest with special needs requiring a service animal at this establishment. They should rethink employing this woman.

Nice mellow place. One of the best Reuben sandwiches. Perfect kraft selection. Don’t pass up the pretzel app. The only thing missing is more local and Michigan brews on tap.

We sat on the patio since it was full inside and the weather was beautiful! Ali was our server, and she was so amazing! She made easy conversations and was very attentive. Our daughter kept saying “she is so nice, she deserves 10 stars” thank you for serving us tonight, Ali!

We were traveling through for a few nights and ordered takeout from Cellar. My Rachel sandwich (hot and perfectly seasoned) and my husband’s chicken salad sandwich (on a really exceptional, crispy croissant) were SO good that we ordered again on our second night (hamburger and whitefish sandwich). The food was hot and delicious, and the server at the front was extremely sweet and professional. We only regret that we couldn’t eat inside, as we had our pup with us, as the live music that we heard while picking up our order was top notch. Give this place a try!

Stopped in for desserts and waited with a nice glass of Rose. Cellar 152 has the towns best selection of handmade desserts. Ordered the double chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, rainbow cake and vegan peanut butter torte to go. Well packed, great service and friendly staff… can’t ask for more.

Delicious food! Had lunch after a nice hike in the area. Ordered the loaded tots and crispy chicken sandwich. The tots were brilliant and the aioli on the chicken sandwich was phenomenal. Can’t wait to try their fish next time!

I have been to Cellar 152 four times this summer – with varying sized groups (as many as 11!). Each time, the food was great (love the Rachel sandwich), the drinks were great (good Bloody Mary), and the service was great – consistently pleasant servers and just the right amount of attention. Will definitely return!
