We stopped in while wondering around town, thinking it was just a cute shop. One of the owners greeted us almost immediately and told us all about the place, including the self-serve wine bar, local beer selection, and food upstairs.
Downstairs: They have an amazing and eclectic selection of locally made gifts, spice and tea blends, candies, infused oils & vinegars, candles, body care, and more.
Upstairs: The wine dispenser system (for lack of a better term) was so neat! We tried a few beers, and settled on a delicious locally made stout. The bartender was informative, making perfect beer recommendations, and we chatted about music and concerts for quite awhile. He was so friendly and had the perfect rapport you want in a bartender. I highly recommend stopping in if you’re even remotely in the area. I would have loved to stay even longer and tried the food!

We went last week for the first time. Lauren the wine hostess had told us to try it out. We had so much fun playing Singo… bingo with music, the food was great, the atmosphere and people were awesome. Wine tasting took on a whole new meaning. Winchester really needed this. We can’t wait for tonight!

Winchester Mercantile is hands down our favorite spot! We absolutely love going here. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by an incredible atmosphere filled with amazing food, wonderful drinks, and an absolutely beautiful shop. There’s always something fun happening—bingo nights, mimosa Saturdays, live music upstairs, events, and more!
A huge shoutout to Chef Craig, whose food is always beyond amazing! From lunch to dinner – the menu is phenomenal! And Saturday treats as well! Such a talented chef! And the bar? Absolutely top-notch, thanks to Sam who always hands you a drink with a smile. The wine dispensary is such an amazing touch – and makes trying out new wines so fun! Anytime we’re downtown, we just HAVE to stop in! And of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible owners, Scott and Char, whose warmth, kindness, and passion make this place so special. They have put their all into the Winchester Mercantile, and truly make it the gem it is.

The third floor – where the entertainment is always top-notch! Tasty sandwiches (this is the Green Muenster). We played Sorry while we waited for our sandwiches. Order at the checkout on first floor or at the 2nd floor bar and take the number to your chosen seating. We will definitely be back!

Wow! With the addition of the Winchester Mercantile, Winchester now packs a full day of high class entertainment. We’ve already been three times. The food is great (chef moved over from High Point). The atmosphere is even better (great bands and a lovely setting). They have the best bar in Winchester and the bar tender is professional, competent, and can tell a great story. I was fortunate the speak with the owners and they are incredibly helpful. I was in a jam yesterday needing food for a first birthday party and they came through with flying colors. Get the Gouda Flat Bread.

After my then-fiancé and I were perusing around Winchester one day, we checked out the Winchester Mercantile and immediately knew we needed to hold our rehearsal dinner here. I believe we were the first ones to have an event like this held here (or one of the firsts), and WOW. You will not be disappointed. Scott, alongside his wife, Charlene, was so professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my guests and I were taken care of and well-fed with delicious food and drinks. And not to mention, all their prices were reasonable and within our budget. My guests even raved about it afterwards saying how amazing everything was. I could not recommend this place enough! Thanks so much, Scott and Charlene! You guys knocked it out of the park.
