Horrible service! Snarky waitress shows up to the table eyes down no greeting nothing! Bad manners and straight up RUDE.Left us there for half an hour to grab orders then more time to bring us our checks (only after flagging her down). NO communication whatsoever and never refilled our drinks or asked how we were doing. Very very disappointed. Table left dirty the whole visit. Never coming back here again! Hire better servers they work for their tip its not free. Shame

Really friendly service and quick at this restaurant. Food was tasty but a bit over salty in my opinion. They also charge a credit card processing fee which is not customer friendly and perhaps against their card agreement terms.

The place smelled of detergent as we walked in. The falafel was not cooked in the middle and we had to return it to be cooked more but still we could taste the raw dough. The beef kebab tasted good but the rice was too salty. We ordered the Tuesday’s special, a beef stew which was very disappointing. There was hardly any beef inside, only carrots and sweet peas swimming in diluted tomato sauce. Our server was nice, he gave us a discount at the end.

Had a quick dinner. The meat pies were a little dry and could use some sauce. The chicken skewers plate was very good and we shared one. Understaffed, but they were attentive and did a good job. The couch I sat on was torn up.

First visit but it won’t be the last! Lamb was extremely tender and flavorful, Lebanese potato salad was amazing, chicken shawarma was great, and the tabouli was amazing as well! We now have another reason to venture into downtown Roanoke.

Please read before choosing to dine at Cedars. I will preface this note by saying that I have never written a negative review before but feel compelled to warn future diners. We were very disappointed in this experience overall. There was only one server who did a good job manning the tables and helped us at the end of the meal with the check. However, the quality of the food, the incorrect pricing, and the missing menu options (alcohol, certain menu items, etc) made this experience pretty bad. The pita bread was microwaved and hard. Served to you in a balled up napkin. No plate either… just handed to us. It only got harder as the meal went on. The falafel was very tough and close to flavorless. The tahini served with the falafel was extremely thin and watery in texture. The dolmades and kibbeh were decent so was the tabuleh. The lamb over hummus had more veggies than hummus or lamb and it was disappointing that there really was no hummus served. The hummus that was in that dish, was also watery / flavorless. The spinach in the fatayer was completely over cooked, dry, and tasted horrible. The pastry was microwaved and turned more tough as it sat. We were surprised that we were even served these. It seems that from previous reviews other patrons have had a similar experience. It does seem like this place used to be a top spot on Roanoke but would not come back or recommend it.

We enjoyed the experience. We wanted to branch out our ethic & culinary appetites. If you haven’t already tried Lebanese dishes, it is a must. The variety of new flavors was very tasty. The lamb & goat were delicious. The service was friendly and very accommodating to our questions.

Great place for lebanese food. Loved the halabi kebab, the seasoning was spot on! Disappointed in the lamb chops, the lemon juice marinade was very overpowering and didn’t complement the flavor of the meat. Also the pita bread could be a tad softer, felt like it was a little too tough. Absolutely recommend the halabi kabab though! Must try!

So good! Amazing hummus, falafel, and the lamb was out of this world. The ingredients were super fresh. Service was excellent and the server gave some excellent recommendations. Could not recommend more. I didn’t even know I liked Lebanese food until I came here. Definitely a new favorite.
