We visited Cedar and Sage inside the Oneida Casino after a recommendation from a follower—and while the food had its moments, the service and a few missteps left us underwhelmed.

Drinks & Appetizer: Off to a Great Start
Our drinks—the Vanilla Old Fashioned, Patio Daddio, and Thoughtful Tropical mocktail—were all excellent. Creative, balanced, and enjoyable. The real star of the night, though, was the Crispy Pork Belly appetizer ($17). Served over roasted creamed corn with a maple mustard glaze, it was absolutely phenomenal—crispy, rich, and full of flavor.

Entrées: A Mixed Experience
The Duroc Tomahawk Pork Chop ($42) was delicious, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked—but small for a tomahawk cut. The side of “smashed” fingerling potatoes was underwhelming: not smashed, served cold, and far too large a portion. It felt like filler to pad the price.

The Butter Burger ($18) had a flavorful patty, but the untoasted, overly firm brioche bun dragged it down.

The Country Mac & Cheese ($19) however, was rich, cheesy, and kid-approved.

Service: Needs Improvement
Our server, Saya, was disappointing—barely said a word beyond taking our order. We weren’t told about the nightly fish fry special, and only found out after overhearing another server. When asked, he simply said “oh yeah,” as he brought a box to pack up our food.

Overall, Cedar and Sage has great food potential—especially the appetizers and drinks—but the service needs serious attention. We’ll return, but will choose dishes more carefully and request a different server next time.

Second time going. Won’t be going back . We wanted a dinner menu around 2 pm. Waitress said we could not get it. That’s fine but she had a terrible attitude after. She was very rude.

We were there on a Saturday night. Not real busy. About five tables seated. Started off with a whiskey old fasioned for me, and a margarita for my wife. We had a terrific server named Francesca. We enjoyed a fabulous meal. She had the Prime Rib special with Crispy Cauliflower. I had the Josper-Grilled Prawns with broccolini. We finished by sharing a delicious creme Brulee for desert. Whole thing set us back about $150 with tip, but it was so worth it! Highly recommend!

My fiance and I are staying at the hotel for the weekend so we tried Cedar & Sage. Omg! It was one of the best meals either of us have ever had. We started with the c cornbread which was delicious. A little crusty/crispy on the edges for me but my fiancé enjoyed that aspect. I had the valentine special of beef short rib and shrimp for my entrée. Short rib is my favorite dish and I order it often at restaurants as it takes a lot of time to make at home. Believe me when I tell you, this was the BEST prepared short rib I’ve ever had. Flavorful and tender but not too salty. My fiancé had the Walleye with the gouda polenta. He has discovered a love of polenta and said the Walleye was cooked excellently as well. Our server was also friendly and quick. 10/10, we will be returning!

First time at Cedar and Sage last night for Valentine’s Eve. Cool spot for food or to hang out at the bar if you are staying at the hotel. Lots of TVs playing sports.

We had reservations but still had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. I could tell they were very understaffed which wasn’t the employees fault who were there working.

I’m mainly leaving this review because our server Mikaehla was lovely even though she was working hard to take care of every table and seemed to be the only server. She was so pleasant every time she came to check in on us, knowing that it was a bit of a wait for stuff.

Our food was delicious and we enjoyed our evening. The casino people watching is also top notch.

We had a wonderful dinner and excellent service by Hayden. We appreciated the quiet atmosphere. I am quite particular about where I eat out, always looking for quality food, well prepared. This restaurant met and exceeded my expectations. I had the bison ragu and enjoyed it immensely. My companions enjoyed the cornbread, the Brussels sprouts, the wedge salad and the macaroni and cheese. I’d love to eat here again!

TL;DR: Food is excellent, but the service is not. There are many better places in Green Bay to spend this kind of money on a dinner and get the service this price point deserves.

The good: the atmosphere was very nice! The menu is interesting and includes walleye cheeks and Bison. We had the bison pot roast, prime sirloin and wedge salad with prawns. Food was EXCELLENT! We also tried the old fashioned flight. Nice presentation and flavor.

The bad: Pretty expensive for what you get. Waitress didn’t check in with us much.

The UGLY: It took nearly 3 hours for us to have dinner. 30 minutes at the table before we got drinks. Another 30+ to get an appetizer. Nearly an hour to get main course.

Great atmosphere no complaints at all for that. My complaint is the food. The food is too expensive to not have any taste. I could have got a better steak from Long horn for half the price. They need to step it up on the flavor. Everyone in my party of 4 was disappointed.

On May 13th,2024 “Dining With Duane” had the opportunity to come here and try out their Breakfast for the first time since they opened for it a few months ago. They serve breakfast 6am-10am daily.
Everything they serve for breakfast is all authentic and made from scratch literally. Their Customer Service is amazing! Their Atmosphere Is Amazing! Their food is even better! I definitely recommend their breakfast. A little on the high end for pricing but the quality of the food and the portions make up for that as I like to see it. They are locally sourced! They serve lunch and dinner here as well. If you get a chance to try out there Breakfast Go Do It. ~ Dining With Duane
