Our first time at Ceder River Seafood. We arrived on a Thursday after 4 pm. We had Coconut shrimp and mozzarella sticks. The coconut shrimp was more than enough and the sauce amazingly coconuty. We ordered the Cobia advertised on there board. This was most delicious fish broiled, juicy, and savory. Sides included collard greens and baked potato. Wow, definitely a repeat. My husband ordered stuffed red snapper with mashed sweet potato and Mac n cheese, so so so tasty!! Both meals came with hush puppies perfectly fried, not the ones soaked in oil. We ordered the lemonade to was it down and wow, this place will fill you up! You will NOT be disappointed.

My friend and I were searching for a seafood restaurant tonight. And of course we were using Google.
And decided to try this place.
Let me tell you everything was awesome. We were greeted by Ashley. Then Ashley came over to take our order. Our food arrived just as we had ordered. Oh my let me tell you everything was perfectly cooked and hot .
During the meal I asked Ashley if we cook speak with the cook”Tony”. I got to tell him that everything thing we ordered was perfect. He was smiling big and he should!! So please do your self a favor and stop by for a great meal.

Food hot and fresh and a lot of it! Hush puppy breading is amazing I love the cornmeal and everything fried to perfection with nice clean grease. That really matters! Lima beans are always on point and mashed sweet potatoes are amazing. I can’t seem to choose anything different when I go. Very nice atmosphere and kind and attentive waitress.

It was a last minute pick for crab legs. The ambulance was family oriented with both small and larger groups. The server was very nice and attentive. Food came out promptly and my eyes about bulged out of my head at the size of the portions for everyone’s plates. I got a “medium” snow crab plate and is was a lot. My daughters 28 and 18 shared the lobster for 1. That was way more than expected. It was delicious though the lobster slightly overcooked but not horrible. Crab was great. Husband enjoyed his pasta. The price wasn’t bad for the amount of food. We enjoyed the experience

I personally haven’t never felt the urge to post a review on food but good Gawd…… this food taste like I was visiting the hospital kitchen…. Nothing has flavor or tasted like anything I get the atmosphere was over the age of retirement so I’m guessing they were being cautious with the seasonings. If you want food that looks amazing but tastes like AI. Here’s your spot!! Couldn’t finish tried everything salt pepper cocktail tartar sauce. …. Nothing I mean NOTHING worked. Maybe it was the area I’m not sure but this cedar River needs some help in the kitchen!!!!!!!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing!! We went there for dinner for my family of 5 and everyone loved the food! Our server was so kind and polite, and helped us quickly. The pricing is great, and they give you plenty of delicious food. I had leftovers which i can’t wait to eat. But our family is looking forward to going back again!! We loved it!

Had lunch here today and it was my first visit. My husband had blackened grouper and I had the fried shrimp. The portion size for the grouper was very reasonable and tasted delicious. The shrimp were small but just perfect. Cheese grits and cole slaw were excellent sides. Server was friendly and quick. Food arrived nice and hot. Loved paying with the QR code. Will definitely be back.

This family- and group-friendly restaurant checks all the right boxes for me. The seafood-driven menu is freshly caught and freshly prepared. My favorite is the Alabama catfish, while my son is partial to the Mahi-mahi. There are other options for the non-fish fans — including chicken and pasta.
But the seafood is glorious! Servers are all local and contribute to the family atmosphere. They give great attention to detail — and they keep my iced tea filled! — and if something is not right, they will make it right. Really just can’t say enough good things.
This is not a “fancy” place or “fine dining” — but, believe me, the dining is fine!

Cedar River has good home style cooking. They have some of the best prices in town for a sit-down restaurant.
It isn’t fancy, but it is consistant and the portions are generous.
