We were greeted by a very pleasant young man, named Kelton, and seated at a table fairly quickly upon arrival. Julia took over and was an excellent server. My wife started off with a cup of Seafood gumbo and I chose the bowl of New England Clam Chowder (without the “kick”). Although the gumbo was spicy, my wife enjoyed it and I thoroughly enjoyed the clam chowder. Very flavorful. My wife opted for the blackened Flounder and shrimp lunch with green beans and collard greens. She liked it very much. I chose the fried Flounder and shrimp lunch with the baby lima beans and baked potato. Everything was delicious. Even the ice water tasted good. I wish they would take my offer to install free televisions in the restaurant like I did at The Pig BBQ nearby. Then they could show people pictures of the food served and maybe show desserts, which were never offered. See attached pictures of free proposed ads for free televisions.

What a great lunch experience. We enjoyed the special of Shrimp and Flounder. I had the grilled and my husband had the fried. Delightful taste with sides of garlic mashed potatoes, okra and tomatoes, and baked potato. Portions were reasonable and filling. Service was timely and friendly. We will be stopping back in on our way through. Noise level was good and family friendly. Loved their tartar sauce!

The waitress was very nice. The atmosphere is great. The food is excellent. The owner of Cedar river seafood helps so many people in our communities in Florida by giving people opportunities for employment. I truly support Cedar River Seafood because the owner gives those who may have a hard time with gaining employment a chance.

This was a nice find on our trip. I liked the dark woods and nautical/beach decor. The service was great with southern-accented friendliness. Loved the salmon. The two filets were well seasoned. The bowl of green beans came wrapped in tin foil, which was unexpected, and they tasted great.

We drove over 20 miles to eat here and it did not disappoint!! The service was great (I wish I remembered our servers name ) and the food was FANTASTIC! my mom ordered the Fried flounder with fries and coleslaw. The fish was lightly dusted and and melted in your mouth. I had the fried gator tail and it is just as delicious. Lightly dusted and oh so tender!!! We will definitely be returning sooner than later!!!

My seafood was sooooo loaded with salt. I have been going there off and on for about 15 years. Why sooo much salt! It can only be intentional or a mistake. And I always leave a tip for my to go order. I Cannot go back to that place! They did give me another meal in place of that salty food which was good. Therefore, I want give a 1 star. I’m not sure if they have new management or not. Take care.

Classic feel at home excellent seafood! Have not stopped in in awhile at this location in Callahan FL and it was just as great as ever especially after a long day helping with hurricane clean up in GA! Service was made us feel right at home even though it was busy and small staff! Flounder/Shrimp special had at least 10 nice size butterfly shrimp fried and broiled to perfection and the flounder was flaky and tender and not over breaded! Broiled version was also delicious! Generous portion sides of grits, fried okra, and half moon sliced fluffy but crisp fries! Hushpuppies would hush up any pup! Excellent value! Worth a stop at any location! Just like home comfort seating!
