Everything about this place reminds me of a European ski chalet – the big open fire place, cozy red leather booth seats, lots of wood detail and touches like a plethora of coat hooks at the entrance for your ski wear.

The ambiance here is spot on – customer service is at its highest (Carlos, Lucas & Sophia – I’m looking at you!), and the vibes here are immaculate. Upon ordering, we were treated to a tasting of the different wine options to make sure we enjoyed what we ordered. Straight into apps – the French onion soup is not to be missed – rich in flavor with a perfect cheese crust on it. Chefs kiss to that.
Also, to pop back to wine – good lord, the prices for bottles here are exceptional (most expensive was $60 or so)

The dinner was delectable – I enjoyed the trout with the curry sauce and rock shrimp & my partner had the brick chicken and enjoyed every last bite.

So the restaurant officially closes at 9 but we were invited by the staff to order an additional bottle of wine and enjoy the fire until we felt we wanted to head back to our unit – such exceptional customer service.

Additionally, there’s a piano in the space that folks are invited to play – we were privileged to enjoy an 8 year old patron playing some exceptional music as well as staff coming in late to play a bit of a diddy – such a lovely time

A hidden gem of Tahoe City and I’d highly recommend a visit here!

Cute venue tucked within a lodge, this pub threw us off a bit by only offering outdoor seating. Still, our servers accommodated our party w extra heat lamps since some of us weren’t dressed to eat entirely Al fresco. Nevertheless our party decided to tough it out and proceeded w ordering our dinner. For drinks we got a few martinis that were all prepared expertly. A little surprising given the pop up vibe the entire place gives. Then we proceeded w the grilled cactus appetizer. It was a little hard to comprehend the description even after asking our waitress, turns it comes as a 3 piece unit or like a poke bowl. We had it poke bowl style and was VERY delicious. Then our food came, which was a build-your-salad, steak plate, steak sandwich, and lobster roll. Our waitress was excellent by repeating our order to us, which was brilliant since we had ordered a rather complex salad. Everything came together, presented beautifully, cooked wonderfully. The only pause was that our steak was more medium well then medium. Not too much of a big deal since it was getting a bit darker and grilling outside gets tougher w less light. Aside from that, our meal was excellent. Def a place worth many repeat visits.

Amazing place to stop by after the long day on the mountains. Atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming, it feels like you are in a friend’s cabin with a fireplace and they actually have a nice place in front of fire place, where you can browse the internet on your phone or read a book drinking tasty cocktail. All the meals were scrumptious, and portions were very generous. We tried gumbo, lobster mac&cheese, and clam chowder. Everything can be recommended!

This was one of the best dining experiences my fiancé and I have ever had. The food was excellent and the service was professional and very kind. Lukas, Lucia, Valentina, and Carlos were all extremely helpful and nice. Also, you have to try the Vegan tart. Amazing!

I wanted to give a huge shout out to Lukas who was our waiter on Saturday, August 2nd. We were a part of a wedding celebration and took up about 3 tables. Lukas appeared to be the only waiter and bartender that day and he killed it. He handled, what I would call a very stressful work environment, with poise and grace. I have a feeling since there was a different wedding taking place that day, staff was stretched thin, but Lukas was able to hold his own. Thank you, Lukas for the excellent service.

Now on to the food, I ordered the burger and it was amazing. Everyone at my table seemed to enjoy their food. I would definitely return.

Food was pretty good. A few vegetarian options. Nice setting with outdoor seating in the woods. The only problems were the temperature (cold and heaters were mostly off) and the smoke from the grill going directly into the dining area.

Delicious food. I had the spicy Italian pizza. Best I’ve had in a while. They had a piano by a fireplace and a young man played several songs. It was a magical experience. The waiter also sassed my sister in law playfully, which I enjoyed.

Found Cedar House Pub when researching restaurants with vegan options in the area and was not disappointed. Had a delicious vegan steak (with multiple side options of potatoes, veggies, spatzle salad) and a gazpacho. Drinks were also delicious and non vegan family were happy with their trout dish as well. Chef and server (Lukas) were helpful and attentive and we loved sitting on the patio with our dogs. Will definitely come back!

They charged for take out containers… as guests at the resort and paying customers, I was actually shocked. Let alone $3.25 for three plastic containers? I have never encountered something this insane at a restaurant ever. Food was also overpriced and downright bad. If the restaurant is having to charge for takeout containers, they’ve got bigger problems. Just don’t eat here.

Update: they wrote a rude response and then randomly updated it a couple months later
