We recently visited Cedar Grill, which is located on a main avenue and offers a large parking lot and a spacious interior. The service was excellent—our server was an older woman, but she was very quick, attentive, and friendly. However, the restaurant itself feels outdated and could really use some renovations. The cleanliness left something to be desired as well.
As for the food, it was underwhelming. My husband ordered a basic breakfast of eggs and pancakes, which was just average. I, however, ordered a New York steak, and it was a disappointment. The meat was served cold and lacked flavor, which was surprising for a place that has “grill” in its name. I had asked for it medium, but it wasn’t cooked properly and tasted bland.
Overall, the friendly service couldn’t make up for the poor quality of the food and the outdated atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a great meal.

The waitresses are attentive and the food was very good. Had a really good spinach salad with honey mustard dressing. Best salad I’ve had in a long time. It was just different than the regular lettuce, tomato and onion salad When I was there there were not many people so it was fairly quiet. My companion and I were able to hold a conversation. I’ve eaten here before many times. There are times when it gets very busy and quite loud. Another favorite of mine the the cream chipped beef over home fries. The price is about the same as other places. Two of us eat for a little less than 30 dollars unless we get dessert. They have some really beautiful and delicious cakes. I like the cheesecake and they have a Hawaiian cake with pineapple and coconut which is very good.They have ice cream, pie, pudding and jello. The place was not real full so they weren’t super busy but the waitresses are all very frienService was very good. Sometimes parking can be scarce but they are building a new restaurant next to the present one and it will have much more parking. I have and will continue to recommend it to others

Decided to stop for a quick dinner on our way back from Myerstown. I got the chicken Alfredo, which was absolutely terrible. It had no taste at all, and the chicken had a very weird and off-putting texture. The other person I was with had the roast beef sandwich, and his beef was very tough and stringy. I know they are in the process of building a new diner, but the one they are in now is very dirty and run-down. I will say the staff is very friendly and does a wonderful job. I don’t think I will be returning.

Worst food i had in the area will not be going back. Ordered cedar burgers med rare came out over well done extremely dry, fries were burnt and so was the onion rings on the sandwich. Place was dead only like 4 ppl and I see why now. I got sick after eating there.

Stopped in for a coffee and waffle.. poured creamer into my coffee and stirred.. I noticed a floater.. so I fished it out! It was a baby cockroach!! Got up and told the server to cancel my order!! I will NEVER be back!

We retired for a long drive and the Holiday inn Express suggested we try cedar grill.
Comfort food at its best. We had the Monte Cristo and a patty melt. Both were perfectly cooked, the fries were delicious and we enjoyed the friendly employees and relaxed atmosphere

Delicious, hot consistent food, and prompt service. Atmosphere will get better as the new building is moved into. Get the hashbrowns with onions!

When I pulled into the parking lot and saw 2 cars at 500 pm I should’ve left I even said to myself this is not good. Well I was right the worst food I’ve had in a long time I couldn’t even finish it I was feeling sick. Homemade chicken croquettes with mashed potatoes looked good until I tried to cut one with a fork it was an absolute sponge no lie I couldn’t cut it! They were either very old or microwaved to death totally disgusting the chicken rival soup was clear broth and no pasta all onions and no taste! Place needs closed down. If I wasn’t feeling sick I would have went back with the crap and demanded a refund!
