I was running some errands in the area and remembered someone mentioned how good the sandwiches at C&D’s food truck were. As a starving soul, I decided to stop by and was greeted by a very friendly smile and sweet personality at the counter while Big Man on the grill was silent and focused on his artistry.
I ordered a standard steak philly, with some provolone and fries. This man turns around and tells me “You want the sharp cheddar.” Who am I to argue with such a confident statement? I switch to the sharp cheddar, continue my enjoyable interaction and wait for my highly anticipated meal. I received my sandwich and sizable portion of fries and carried on to meet a friend to watch the game.
Once I made my destination, I devoured this sandwich in about 10 minutes. It was phenomenal!! I was the envy of the people around me, who obviously didn’t have the forethought to pick up an outstanding meal ahead of time. My sincerest compliments to the Chef and the lovely lady with the beaming smile behind the counter!
I will 100% be back to try some of their other selections, which I have no doubt will be just as amazing.
If you are in the area, or even if you aren’t, you should definitely visit these fine folks and sample their menu! We need more flavor infused meals like this in Sarasota!

I don’t say this lightly: this cheesesteak has altered my brain chemistry. One bite in and I briefly considered updating my will. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the cheese was doing exactly what cheese is supposed to do, and the bread? Soft, sturdy, and clearly trained for this moment. Absolute teamwork. No weak links. Zero notes.
If you are from Philadelphia and you are skeptical (as you should be), come here immediately. This is the real deal. No “inspired by Philly” nonsense. No identity crisis. This cheesesteak knows who it is, where it comes from, and it stands proudly in its truth.
Now let’s talk about the service, because WOW. These people are operating on another plane of existence. Friendly, fast, and somehow psychic. I felt seen. I felt supported. I felt like if I asked for life advice while ordering, they would’ve nailed that too.
By the time I finished eating, I was sweaty, happy, and deeply at peace. I would drive across state lines. I would cancel plans. I would fight a stranger in a parking lot (respectfully) to eat here again.

Excellent food truck! (Don’t look for a storefront ). My husband & I were getting sandwiches to take to the beach for sunset & read the great reviews. The food & professional friendly service didn’t disappoint! Philly cheesesteak & lemonade were superb.

I ordered through GrubHub,a cheese steak, unfortunately they were out of what I ordered,but they went above and beyond to make this right giving me the option to cancel or send a replacement,I opted with the seafood Philly ,and it was so good I’m almost glad they were out of the cheese stake not to mention they sent a few extras that were also very good thank you for making this right,I cant wait to visit in person,you guys rock
