Went here for the 1st time on Wednesday May 14th 2025 with my parents. We were looking for some dinner nearby the holiday inn express that we were staying at. This was within walking distance, and my dad wanted pizza, so we tried here. Note: this is also called CDB Pizza/Kobe’s Italian. Basically sells pizza and Sushi and hibachi food. We arrived in the front, and someone greeted us and sat us at a booth that was actually near the bar. Server was a little slow to take our intial order, and refill waters, but she might have been the only one working in the restaurant, and we did notice that there was noise on the other side of the room, where a party was happening. However, that was okay because we also had to look over the menu options. Finally she came over, we got 3 waters and a personal pizza with sausage and brocolli. We then looked over the menu some more and decided on our entrees, which we ordered shortly after the appetizer. I ordered the Clearwater Beach Sushi Roll, my dad ordered shrimp and scallop hibachi, and my mom ordered veggie hibachi. Food came out in a timely manner- the pizza turned out really good and enjoyable- and we’re from NY! I enjoyed my sushi! my parents also enjoyed their food and said that it was a good different for them. We left a cash tip, and paid via a credit card- oh and our waitress also made a mistake and said they don’t charge for an extra topping on the pizza, but they did. She was polite about it and apologized though. Anyways, we enjoyed our food and it was different and may be back again if we are ever in the area again!

Yes this is the same as the old CDB’s in Lakeland FL, and is the same owners of the one that was in Tampa FL. If you have missed their famous Hard Hat Sandwich or there pizza, it is worth the drive to go here. We drove all the way from Plant City FL yesterday evening and they did not disappoint. The food was on point! We had a small Chef salad with their homemade Italian vinaigrette, a Hard Hat sandwich, and a small meats pizza. Everything was Great!!! If you never been here you should try it. They are basically 3 restaurants in one. They also have sushi and they have the Japanese and Vietnamese food as well with the Japanese Hibachi where they cook the food in from of you. We will definitely be returning again soon.

We arrived about 9ish. The waitress was polite. She brought a menu which did not have pizza on it. We came for a CDB pizza. She did not know this. However she could of asked.
I remember CDB having amazing pizza. It wasn’t but. It was good. The shock was when we got our bill!!! $5.00 a piece for draft beer! Although she marked it down as 2 Bottled beers. It was my Birthday, in 59 yes I never known a bottled beer to come without a bottle.

I have to disagree with the other review, today’s visit was nowhere near what the Lakeland CDB’S made and served. Servers were very sweet considering Italian food is not part of their culture of food. Hard hat special grinder was ok and the pizza was bland at best along with bland meatballs on the pizza. Chef salad was not the same either with the iconic meat and cheese rolls on top. Hibachi and sushi had a lot of customers so they must be doing something right just not the italian part. Maybe we may try the Japanese hibachi if we come back; sounds like they were having a good time over there.

Ive come here 4 times now and been reasonably happy albeit disappointed everytime. The first time they ruined my pizza by putting green olives on it instead of black olives because they were out of black olives…. Umm yeah because green and black olives are interchangable right? But whatever.. Next 2 visits they were STILL out of black olives… Now on my LAST visit tonight our waitress was RUDE and didnt even explain they were out of black olives till the pizza came…. And of that wasnt enough they made a MED instead of a LG as ordered… Im sorry but this place has lost me as a customer which sucks because their pizza itself is awesome and has a one of a kind crust that i havent found anywhere else.

This is NOT like going to the old CDB’s on Westshore.. When we walked in the waitress asked me if I wanted the Hibachi table??? Huh?.. I thought this was an Italian restaurant.. First, it’s so dark in there..more like a nightclub, we had to read our menu using the light from our cell phones. They have a more limited menu.. no salmon steaks. And apparently don’t have any bread that ‘s not toasted. we asked for it plain… and then had to ask for parmesan to make a dip for our bread. The waitress seemed very confused… My husband ‘s steak and my pasta wasn’t bad though… what I could see of it.. then when she brought us the bill, she just said..’here you go’… not.. thank you , please come see us again… -The only reason we didn’t walk out in the first place was because I’d already spent $17.00 for the Groupon… however, we will not be back.

Staff is friendly, food sucks. I had a very simple dish…alfredo and it had so much sauce on it that it was sickening. The cedar salad had 2 cups of dressing as well. But I was hungry and I ate it.
