Chelsea Top Shelf far out passes our experience of Top Shelf Brighton. The place is clean, the food looks premium style on real plates and full tap offerings. The staff actually serves the tables and gives a full dining experience.

We visited on just their second day open, excited to support a new spot in our small town. The food was average—nothing offensive, but nothing that stood out either.
Unfortunately, the service felt very low-effort: no prompt greeting, awkward wait to be seated even though the place was quiet, and no visible manager or owner presence to help things run smoothly. It genuinely seemed like minimal attention was being paid to the details that make a new restaurant welcoming and successful.
As a brand-new business, we gave them grace for the first few days, but the overall lack of energy and hospitality left a strong impression. Unless it’s purely out of convenience (which it isn’t for us), I don’t see myself going back. I really hope they step up quickly—our town needs good local options, but this start didn’t inspire confidence.

Amanda was the best, from pouring a few lagers to tossing a pizza she can do it all. Its a weekly stop for me and my family

Menu hasn’t changed much aside from increased prices. Service is slow to non-existent (after sitting and waiting for 10 minutes I approached the bar to get a menu and order a server finally came after that) and though the restaurant was only about 1/4 full most tables hadn’t been cleared or cleaned. Over 30 minute wait for a wrap and glass of water. Blackbear’s takeover of community businesses strikes again.

Just not good enough for the prices. Tastes like everything came from Cisco. Maybe the Breakaway will come back.
