CAVU: An acronym used in aviation circles meaning Ceiling and Visibility Unlimited. Commonly used by pilots as slang to describe anything that is desirable or sought after. From the moment you walk in to CAVU, you will appreciate the warm service, chill atmosphere and fun vibe. That vibe can be felt behind-the-scenes as well where you’ll often find Executive Chef Alex Hancock ‘kitchen dancing’ with the music blaring. Chef Alex believes good food (in our case, gourmet comfort food…with a twist) is best when it’s simply prepared and that ‘fun’ is the true key to creating and experiencing delicious food. Join us for live music Thursday and Saturday nights.

She was extremely helpful, very polite, and truly professional. Her attitude, kindness, and attention to detail made a big difference and made my visit much more enjoyable.
Employees like Sybille represent the highest level of customer service.
Highly recommended!
It was a quiet evening, service was pleasant, friendly if not too efficient. It was certainly a peaceful meal, with not too much background noise. Started with the Mussels/Fries and Chicken bites for appetizers. Both were tasty.
For mains had teh Charred Miso Salmon and Scallops/Prawns. They took a bit long to arrive, and the portions were a little on the small side but otherwise they were flavourful. For dessert had a nice strawberry based dessert.
Overall a nice dinner, if not overly memorable. Value isn’t bad, but is at a difficult segment where expectations for the price are quite high with serious competition.
Everything was nicely presented and feedback was good from my family. Lamb is a bit dry so it would be better to have some extra sauce on the side. Price is very reasonable.
Would definitely come back again.
Le Grand Poutine Burger is worth to try. Very juicy. Lovely flavour with fried onions on top. But I don’t like the gravy.
The roasted chicken provencal is a bit dry.
Their happy hour : 5-7pm & 9-10pm.
Free parking inside the hotel parking slot.
The initial service was commendable, with a server who was both attentive and friendly, setting a positive tone for the meal.
The nachos, however, were a letdown, lacking the robust topping variety one might expect, and while the cheese quality surpassed that of Good Co, the absence of salsa left the dish feeling incomplete. The smash burgers, a highlight in theory, fell short in execution with under-seasoned patties and disproportionately large buns that detracted from the overall moisture and flavor.
The fries, too, were a disappointment, promising crunch yet delivering a softness that defied their well-cooked appearance.
As the evening progressed and the restaurant filled, the attentive service waned, with a noticeable delay in receiving the bill. Observations of other staff members attending to tasks while my server was overwhelmed suggest a potential mismanagement of duties. This experience leaves one pondering the disparity between personal experience and the glowing reviews Cavu Kitchen Bar has received.
