The service was beyond horrible. I asked two employees about a couple of menu items. The first young woman was polite and actually took the time to explain what I was asking. The second employee I asked—a younger gentleman—didn’t answer at all. Instead, he just looked over at an older man I’m assuming was the supervisor. After they exchanged a look, the supervisor didn’t bother to help either. He curtly told me to “read the paper taped to the glass,” because it would tell me “everything I needed to know.” No explanation, no courtesy—just attitude. At that point I was already disgusted, but I’d already ordered, so I paid nearly $20 for food I didn’t even feel welcome to buy.
Then it somehow got worse.
The dining area was filthy. The tables were dirty, and since I was eating with my sister and my daughter, we had to clean our own table just to sit down. Once we started eating, my sister had to go back to the counter to ask for my salad dressings because the same employee who ignored my question didn’t bother to include them.
While I was eating, the food was spicy, so I went to grab a straw for my water—and that’s when I completely lost my appetite. The utensil container had trash sitting in the bottom of it. Trash. In the same place customers are supposed to grab clean utensils and straws.
I couldn’t take another bite. I wasted almost $20 on miserable service in a dirty restaurant. Between the rudeness, the missing items, and the obvious lack of cleanliness, this experience was unacceptable.

I met two new workers this week: a young lady who is incredibly attentive and makes you feel like your order actually matters, and a new guy who seems to be a manager quiet, the type who doesn’t say much he’s just there .
The real anchors of this place are the three regulars I kept seeing on later shifts: the young man with locs who’s fast, friendly, and always builds bowls with care, and the two young ladies who work the line like a well-coordinated team. Whenever those three are on, the energy is high and the service is on point.
And then there’s Hakim, the manager who sets the standard for the entire store. He’s not there often, but when he is, you can feel the difference immediately organized, confident, and elevating everyone around him.
Overall, after a week of daily visits, this CAVA proved to be reliable, welcoming, and full of standout employees who genuinely care about the customer experience. If you go, the later shifts are where the location really shines.
I ordered the lamb and sweet potato bowl.
Overall, the meat and veggies, were fresh. They did skimp on the meat, however – especially for the price. Two small lamb meatballs in a large bowl. That’s it.
Increase the protein and I’ll be back.
From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic with helping me customize my bowl.
Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to keep the line moving efficiently made a noticeable impact, not just on me, but the entire atmosphere in the restaurant in my opinion.
I can tell she really cares about the customers and her coworkers. She is truly an asset to the CAVA team, and I hope she gets the recognition she rightfully deserves!
