I have been to this location twice.
The first time we went was the day of the Christmas tree lighting. We had no issues with the service but after we received our food, we saw the guy who is chopping up the meat, he literally had drool coming out of his mouth and he didn’t attempt to catch it. I’m not sure if it fell on the ground or the board
The second time we went during the holidays. It was about 6:30 pm. They closed at 10pm. The service started off good. The server was polite.
I decided to have the chicken caesar wrap. When we got to the toppings, they didn’t have original garlic, then they didn’t have most of the other toppings. I said to the girl, nothing seems to be available. I then asked what toppings can I add? She was speaking so softly. I said (possibly sounding irritated), I can’t hear her. Now, she got an attitude and told me all the toppers are on the front of the display. Look at it and tell her what I wanted. It went downhill from there. She was no longer polite.
I can’t really say if the caesar salad wrap is as it should because I didn’t have all the toppings that comes with it on the wrap. I added corn, tomato, lettuce.
The wrap was messy. Really messy. It was difficult to eat. It was however, tasty. Most of the drink were out. They only had pineapple apple mint, which wasn’t sweetened, classic lemonade and unsweetened black tea.
Both times that we have been there, the garbage is always over flowing. There really is no place to put the garbage.

Fast service and great portions! We got build your own bowls and the employee there (didn’t see his name) gave us a lot of meat, vegetables, and rice. The flavors were amazing and everything tasted very fresh. The tzatziki was a must get. Price was pretty reasonable too.

Possibly the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We were told it’s online orders only when we entered on Dec 27 evening which is fine. We placed the order and waited over 30 minutes. Several people who came in and made their mobile orders after us received their order and we were still waiting. We finally received a completely wrong order and had to wait again. We finally got our order after another 15 minutes just to find out they forgot a bag of the pita chips. We let the girl know and she told us one second and walked away. It took us another 10 minutes to get our pita chips. All the lemonades were being removed so we did not get that even though we paid for it. Couldn’t order pickled onions or cucumbers either. When we got home we realized the forgot to put the harissa chicken we paid extra for so we two bowls with no meat that we paid $36 for. Insane experience.
Edit: I returned around 3pm on December 28th as we’re from Toronto and wanted to give it another shot. The people working were so welcoming and friendly and we received our meals within 5 minutes. The bowls were absolutely loaded and delicious. I’m not sure what was going on with the staff last night but it was a completely different experience.

I had an amazing meal at CAVA! I ordered a bowl with grilled steak and honey chicken over saffron basmati rice, topped with romaine lettuce and pickled red onions — it was absolutely delicious. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The roasted corn and tzatziki added the perfect touch!
I also tried their lavender drink, which was light, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal. The staff was friendly, and everything was prepared quickly and beautifully. Definitely my new go-to spot for a healthy and satisfying meal!

Line was super long but the Garlicky Chicken Shawarma Bowl was definitely worth the wait. Prices aren’t too bad if you stick to chicken based bowls. You can add items to your bowl without paying additional cost to the base price. Also this place could use more seating for the amount of unused space it contains.

The food at CAVA Detroit is very good and fresh you can really taste the quality in the ingredients and the flavors come together nicely. It’s definitely a solid spot if you’re looking for something healthier but still filling. The only downside is the long wait time, which can be a bit frustrating, especially during busier hours. Overall, worth it for the fresh food, but plan ahead if you’re in a hurry.

We have had cava before out of state and we were super excited to enjoy it back home. The taste was good but the bowl was not full enough to me. The sauces were not provided so we missed out on those we just got a bunch of tahini. Hopefully next time will be better so I can give you guys a 5

The customized grain bowl and pita chips were delicious and I enjoyed every bite! Jaii provided me with excellent customer service. The manager, and the entire front line staff were friendly and provided an amazing take out experience.
