UPDATE : I came back to this CAVA location today with my family, hoping my last experience was just a one-off. Unfortunately, the same employee was rude again, this time to my sister. She politely asked about purchasing sauces and Persian cucumbers, and the employee responded by telling her she “didn’t know what she was talking about” and to just go to the front and let them charge her. The tone was dismissive and completely unprofessional.
At this point, this is a pattern, not an isolated incident. As paying customers, we deserve to be treated with basic respect. It’s uncomfortable and upsetting to repeatedly experience this kind of behavior, and it makes us question whether we are being treated differently on purpose.
I really hope management takes this seriously and addresses it, because no customer should feel disrespected or unwelcome when spending their money here.
And wouldn’t you know no one answers their phones PATHETIC!!

I usually consider this CAVA location in Athens to be one of the best, which is why today’s experience was so disappointing.
Several key ingredients were out of stock, including olives, Persian cucumbers, and fire roasted corn. I was told they were short staffed, yet there were multiple employees present. Proper preparation and stocking are part of providing a consistent customer experience, especially during peak hours.
What was most frustrating was the lack of customer service. While I was asking if olives could be restocked, the employee handling my order, whose order ID was AC2LDNHJACEL, refused to add the missing items or offer any type of solution or accommodation. There was no effort to resolve the issue or show understanding.
I paid $40 for two bowls and did not receive the quality, service, or experience I have come to expect from this location. CAVA is known for exceptional service, which is why this experience stood out in a negative way.
I hope management addresses both the stocking issues and customer service training, because today’s experience was far below the standard this location normally delivers. & to put the icing on the cake when I contacted them to get corporates phone number no answer. if I could give zero stars I would!

In the most charming way, Alyssa said it would make her day if I would give her a positive review. But the she went out of her way to EARN it with her hospitality, friendliness, quick service (along with the other employee who helped fill my order) and making a substitution for an item the store was out of. The food is great and Alyssa made the expericengteat also.

We stopped in and were initially concerned that we had made the wrong choice, because there were very few patrons for the lunch hour. We ordered and were seated… as you can see from the video, the crowd arrived soon after. The food was fabulous and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend! I had the build your own bowl with the Harissa Honey Chicken. All the ingredients were just wonderful. Kindness and Generosity are more than a corporate value of this place. The staff at the Athens location really practice it. Thanks!

It was our first time coming to Cava. I only came because of a tiktok video & it wanted me to try it. We came in, it was packed. One of the employees, I never got her name but she was the sweetest person ever. They all seemed overstimulated, as if they were short staffed. She made an announcement saying the dining room was closed but she allowed us to order online & pick up inside when it was ready. She was very friendly, she was nice & I will definitely be coming back again. The food was great. Wayyyyyy better than chipotle hands down.

I’ve had CAVA at other locations but will never go back to the Athens location. I order the salmon bowl for pickup with avocado added. I was in Athens for a doctor’s appointment and live 30 minutes from the location. When I got home and opened my food I first noticed that the avocado was rotten, so I had to scoop most of that out. That pissed me off because I paid $2 extra for it and feel if it’s rotten it doesn’t take a whole lot of common sense not to put that in the food. After scooping that out I noticed there was in fact NO SALMON on my salmon bowl. On top of all of that the portions given for nearly a $20 meal was a joke. I am working on getting my refund right now because this meal was not worth a dime of my money. Of course when calling the location to speak to someone the call goes directly to an error dial tone. This sucks because I love CAVA but after reading other similar reviews to mine it seems the Athens location needs to be closed.
Edit: I did get a quick response after submitting a complaint with support. They did not refund my money but did give me a credit on the app. I think that’s pretty crappy if I didn’t want to eat CAVA again but I happen to love a different location near me, so I will be using it there.

This cava sucks. They were out of everything.. wouldn’t even let me go to the back to grill some chicken. No chefs working might’ve been the problem.. Think they might need me as manager. Food was limited but still around a high 8. Don’t really know why I’m writing this but whatever I’ll probably go back

Cava was recommended by a friend. In looking at the menu on line I thought, “Meh.” Boy was I WRONG. I created my own bowl with romain, 1/2 steak and 1/2 spicy chicken along with hummus and some other toppings. The young lady behind the counter was helpful with making choices. It was delicious! The We were a group of 6 and were the first people there. The dining was clean but otherwise unremarkable. There is in interesting assortment of drinks available. Lavender Blueberry was yummy on its own. I mixed a concoction of Lavendar Blueberry, lemon aide and tea that was just right for me. I am looking forward to another visit.

cava is yummy, & has maybe the best cheap kids meal in town ($7!!!!!!) – but the portions can change drastically between meals / whoever’s working so sometimes it feels like you aren’t really getting your money’s worth.
