I like the quick service concept for Mediterranean food. So many options that fit all the preferences for the entire family. Food is always fresh and delicious, but I do have to agree with another reviewer that mentioned the inconsistency of the flavors at times. I had an experience where the food was saltier than usual, which overpowered the freshness of the ingredients. The drinks options and flavors are great for both adult and kids. We love jasmine green tea and blueberry lavender. Refreshing and delightful! However, the cleanliness of the tables and seating area need some improvement. It is always pretty messy and dirty during meal time. If it can be check and clean more frequently, it would be better.

Amazing service from the dinner crew. I came in on Wednesday and Sunday. The Manager was extremely friendly, goes the same for the work crew. Food came out fast and the ordering process was smooth and easy. Love Cava!! Amazing food.

The price is out of this world. It cost $30 for One bowl. I love the food but I’m never coming back they’re trying to do the same thing that chipotle did. It’s just not worth it. I almost just walked out and not paid at all so they can lose their food.

I’ve been to CAVA in Melville many times because I love the concept — fresh Mediterranean flavors, customizable bowls, and quick service. When everything is on point, the food is absolutely delicious. The pita chips in particular deserve a special shoutout — they’re perfectly crisp, lightly salted, and completely addictive. The toppings and dressings are flavorful, and the variety of options makes it easy to mix things up and build something new each visit.
That said, my experience here has been inconsistent over time. Some days, the food tastes fresh and perfectly prepared, but other times, the quality drops noticeably. The biggest issue tends to be the lettuce, which has often been wilted or browning — something that really takes away from the overall experience, especially since it’s the base of most of their bowls. It’s disappointing because when the ingredients are fresh, the food is genuinely great.
The staff is generally friendly and efficient, though the line can move slowly during peak hours. The space itself is clean and modern, with plenty of seating and a bright, upbeat atmosphere that makes it a nice spot for a quick lunch or casual dinner.
Overall, I’d say CAVA Melville has a lot of potential — and when they get it right, it’s one of the best fast-casual options around. The food is good but it is a very poorly run establishment. If improvements are made there is a lot of potential here but currently the managment is so poor that entering here feels like entering a mad house with people screaming everywhere and a woman , who I assume is the general manager, belittling the employees, very loudly, in front of the customers. Hopefully the environment will imporve because the food is good and as I said before there is a lot of potenital but right now I cannot reccomed this establishment.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I did not feel that this location provided an inclusive or welcoming environment. While everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, that does not excuse the behavior I experienced from an employee named Mykel.
Prior to the incident, I placed my order and already found the process somewhat difficult due to portion sizes and interactions with staff, which led me to purchase additional items. What appeared to trigger the situation was when I asked for extra food and then asked to taste a sauce. After sitting down with my family and friends, I noticed Mykal staring at me in an aggressive manner while serving other guests. He continued mumbling and glaring, which made the situation very uncomfortable.
When I approached the counter to report the behavior to the manager, Mykel became visibly enraged. At that point, he verbally confronted me and escalated the situation by making a threat telling me to “meet him outside.”
I appreciate that the manager intervened quickly and removed Mykel from the situation, which allowed me to return to my dinner. However, this experience was extremely concerning and not something any guest should encounter while dining out.
I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately so that all guests feel safe and respected when visiting this location.

Been craving cava for these past few days. And I got there and it was closed! On a Sunday afternoon! That was heartbreaking because I love their food. I used to go to it for my Lunch break out in the westbury location. There was one time the customer service was terrible. I wanted something that was on the menu and the person taking my order was trying to convince me that what I wanted specifically was not on the menu meanwhile I was looking up right at it. LOL. That’s was just crazy. But besides all this mess I have felt with CAVA. The food still good. Just wish they had better customer service I guess. And keep their word on being open during hours that’s on the Google info!!!
