Cattleman’s Roadhouse is a locally owned, Kentucky Proud restaurant. We are not a chain, but we do now have several locations in the surrounding area. We are just a couple of Kentucky boys serving great steaks! We pride ourselves in local buying and suppliers. When we opened our first restaurant, we scoured the state to find the best quality foods possible. Our steaks are aged 28 days, hand-cut, and are second to none in tenderness and flavor. Our burgers are Aspen Ridge All Natural Beef that is certified, humanely raised, with NEVER any antibiotics. From our locally sourced produce to our handmade desserts by Helen, we strive to serve better quality foods than other casual restaurants.

This is only my 2nd time to Cattlemans and my boyfriends first time. We had to wait about 20min for a table but it wasnt bad. On Sundays they have meals you can pick from that include all you can eat salad bar. Everything on the bar was fresh, kept well stocked and an employee constantly cleaning up to keep the area looking nice. The food came out, I ordered country fried steak and my boyfriend got fried pork chops, and our food was really good. The server was super sweet and stayed on top of things but wasnt overly coming to our table. It was a good experience and we plan to go back.

Atmosphere is your typical roadhouse look and feel.
Our waiter was very kind and attentive.
Orders the New York Strip medium rare and got a steak so rare that it was practically still mooing. Seasoning seemed fine, but the taste was overwhelmed by the rough chew. Should have sent it back, but I don’t t and to do that at places that are new to me.
“Loaded” Baked potato consisted of butter and sour cream and was undercooked as well.

There was about a hour wait and is likely expected on a Saturday evening.
Bone in rib eye was cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Ive been there before and found the baked potato good but plain and bland. This time i opted for the seasoned fries and they were excellent.
I also added the salad bar. The bar is well stocked and clean. However there was a incident with the salad bar attendant were she was rude and pulled items for replacement as we were dipping. She was like intentionally in our way. Really weird. My wife complained to the hostess and the manager visited our table with an apology. Anyway thats why i rated atmosphere a little low otherwise we very much enjoyed our meal.
Theres not as many options for a steak house these days but this is a excellent choice and we will return again soon.

we decided to drive down and eat here as we ventured to corydon. We read good things, so we had a party of 3, ordered a pepsi and 2 waters. Ordered the 16oz ribeye to split and the bq chicken, with salad bar as an add on and mac n cheese and finally 2 peanut butter pies. Steak was not a great cut, we unfort didn’t catch that it has bone in, meaning 1/4 of it was the bone or so it appeared. Cooked well seasoned ok, but we had a real fatty piece. Chicken no complaints and the buffet was great. we did get the broccoli with cheese, and upon receiving it saw there was separation in the cheese mix, a layer of water then dense cheese under, we left it didn’t eat it, the mac n cheese was ok. peanut butter pie very filling. Service lacked, we sat a long while not seeing our server and took a great while to get our check. Check out process was terrible, server brings a tablet and she is punching things in asks for my card then my signature, never saw the bill nor received a receipt. I felt 115. was quite high having done the math on my head, i opt for a email copy an as we were walking out i noticed 2 mistakes, they charged for 4 pepsis at $13.16 we ordered 1, and the buffet was 9.99 which we clarified since we arrived at 2 that it would be charged at the lunch rate and was advised yes. Well it wasn’t. Point being ensure you are asking for your receipts read over it make sure it is accurate, we brought the drinks to the attention of the staff they claimed they fixed it we will see right now it didn’t change what is showing on my card statement, i didn’t bother saying anything regarding the over charge on the buffet. We won’t be stopping here again.

I had called to inquire whether they had a seniors discount. The young lady that answered the phone was unsure and asked about it. She came back to the phone and I was told they only had a senior discount on Mondays. I had been promising to take my grandson for a while so we went after school on a Monday. The food was exceptional. I had a 12 ounce ribeye that was perfectly seasoned & cooked but when I received the check there was no discount. The waitress asked her boss and he said they only have a discount for veterans. I’m in a fixed income and would have been more selective with what I ordered. Waitress was excellent. If I was to rate their prices I would say $$$!

We had our workplace holiday dinner here last night with 14 people. Even with no reservation which they don’t take we only had a short wait. Jerry was our server. She did a fantastic job all by herself. All the food we had was excellent. This was our second holiday dinner here. We will return.

Great place!! Ate here for my birthday, I was not disappointed! The salad bar was phenomenal! Lots of great items, could just eat salad bar and be happy! The steak was good, nicely seasoned and done correctly! Baked sweet potato was a really tasty option, a good amount of cinnamon in the butter too, service was above average… Might go there again on my vacation!

I’ve been twice and both times the food was not good. The waitress was nice but I had soggy mushy asparagus, my thirteen dollar drink was teeny tiny, and the steak was chewy. Just not good in my two experiences.

First time eating here. The salad bar was wonderful! They have all the regular items PLUS beets, dill pickle spears, and a variety of other salads (cole slaw, corn salad, broccoli salad, pasta salad, and potato salad). I sampled the cole slaw, broccoli salad, and pasta salad and found them to be tasty. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient.
