…Today we decided to visit here after a very long time. We enjoyed Sunday lunch on the waterfront edge! The atmosphere was great and the bottle of Pongracz “Rose’” kept us cool as the weather was real-lii hot, we ordered 2 x Roll-beef Escargot’s and 1 x Cubed Sirloin in brown sauce served on top of mash! The food was delicious and well presented! Service was great as Terence our waiter was on top of his game! We had an excellent time here…

The atmosphere around the quarry lake is fantastic, there is a nice view to see the waterfront.
There is not many selection for vegetarian, but Crepes Florentine was incredible. The portion is big. I couldn’t finish my last piece.

What an absolute pleasure dining at Cattle Baron Tyger Waterfront! Our waiter, Morne, was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave us excellent service from start to finish.
The food was incredible, the steak was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. As 2.5-year carnivores, we can honestly say this was the best steak we’ve had in years. Our kids loved their burgers, which were just as impressive.
Dessert was the perfect ending: my all-time favourite crème brûlée and a malva pudding to die for. The sweetest touch was when the team surprised us with an extra dessert and a heartfelt “welcome home,” knowing we were visiting South Africa after many years overseas.
It’s rare to find this level of customer service and food quality combined, truly a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Our waiter was friendly and professional and patient since we took our time to decide on drinks.
Our mains, the 300g sirloin with veg and a green peppercorn sauce, and the blackened 200g rump with chips, went down a treat. The meat was cooked exactly as we ordered it, we enjoyed it so much… there was no space left for dessert. Next time though

From the moment we arrived, the experience was great. Parking was available right by the entrance. We were seated outside on the deck and I’d highly recommend this spot on a summer evening, the atmosphere around the quarry lake is fantastic and adds something special to the whole experience, especially watching the full moon rise.
Service was solid. The food was a 5 out of 5. Orders came out quickly, portions were generous, and the quality was exactly what you expect from them.
We shared the starter platter at the table, followed by a 600g T-bone done rare, a 300g rump cooked medium, and the pork belly with mustard mash, cinnamon apples, and proper crackling. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered.
All in all, this branch is a winner every time. Like a good steak, it just gets better with age

The staff were amazing. I had someone in a wheelchair and they even took the sliding door off to get him to the table and later to the restroom. The staff were sensitive to the situation and made sure that we were comfortable and happy. Thank you.

The best steaks and ribs out there ! A nice dinner spot for an anniversary or a birthday as it has an elegant feel to the atmosphere . We had a waiter named Musa and he was wonderful and friendly. They also have a wide variety of menu options, which is great. It’s always best to phone ahead and reserve a table as it gets full quickly on a weekend.

The waiters are super clued up on the menu and the wine wine list. They have a great selection of wines. We had the Diemersdal private collection which went very well with the steak.
I had. The filet with wedges while the other opted for the ribey with garlic and chillies.
All in all a great visit, magnificent food and great service.
