Ok, I hate that I’m leaving a review of the CATTLE Baron and didn’t even eat any meat – I had the chicken fried chicken (which was great) and an incredible soup and salad from their killer salad bar. Brother-in-law got the green chile stew and it was outstanding. Really nice place – good food, service, and atmosphere!

Cattle Baron had a great vibe, warm decorations and clean. I got the salad bar and green chile stew. The stew was superb, 5/5. Salad bar items were fresh. However, we weren’t very happy with the service. Our server was inattentive and even when we were talking to them, they seemed distracted in another world. Given that it was a slow night on a weekday evening, I would have hoped for better service.

Amazing! Visiting in the area and decided to give this a try. We had a wonderful experience from the first moment to the last. Our server, Ms Beck was outstanding! We started with an appetizer of Green Chile Wontons, followed by a 10 oz Ribeye with Whiskey Peppercorn Glaze and steak fries, Fried Chicken Tenders with gravy on the side and a loaded baked potato. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend a meal here.

I only went for a glass of wine and was treated to try the green chili stew. Both were a great complement to each other. My bartender Steve was great and with it being right next to the hotel, it’s very convenient. I’ll be visiting Roswell again next month and will definitely try the epic looking salad bar!

Had the prime rib it was very good. They had an excellent an impressive salad bar. The other meal we had was the fried shrimp. I however would not label them steak fries I would say they were more like baked potatoes cut in fourths and cooked as your fry.

When you walk in, the restaurant itself is really nice and smells pretty good. Seems promising. Our service was good. The food tasted (except the baked potato) like it was pre-made at 1pm and was just slightly warmed up when it came out. Little to no seasoning on the steak and the dessert was definitely just a store bought brownie that didn’t even get warmed before coming out. For the amount you pay, just drive a couple miles down the road to Texas Roadhouse. You get better for much less.

We really enjoyed this place and had a lot of quality food for the money. I had the all you can eat salad bar (lots of choices for make your own salad, mixed salads like potato and such. It also included soups, puddings and jellos) all for under $13.00 and it was fresh. My husband had the Chicken Fried Steak and absolutely loved it. He said that the CFS had a nice flaky crust, the steak had good flavor, the mashed potatoes with the skin was tasty, and the gravy was good. His dinner also came with a trip to the salad bar and dessert puddings for $5.00 extra. The waiter was very friendly, the decor was western and it was a clean restaurant. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
