After 3 weeks on the road through the states, I did not expect to find such a gem on the outskirts of the mountains. Delicious baked goods that you can see being made behind the counter, lovely staff and a decor that you wish would inspire other more bland cafes. Top spot to stop

Everything is amazing there. The chocolate croissant is my favorite. The personal who works there’s is super nice and cute.
The only thing i dont love it is that they dont bake enough bread when is tourist season and local people can’t get delicious pastries because they all gone before 10 am.

We were just looking for a light breakfast and we hit the jackpot. We tried a caramel sticky bun and a day old cream cheese danish. Both were amazing. The day old one seemed just as amazing as the fresh roll.
Looking forward to visiting again next time we’re in town.

Absolutely thrilled to find this gem in Red Lodge! Capital Bakery has the perfect cozy atmosphere, and the treats are simply incredible. I tried the croissant, and it was perfectly flaky and fresh. The coffee is smooth, and the staff is so friendly. A must-stop spot when you are in Red Lodge.

Walked past this cafe and had to go in. We were not disappointed – incredible pastries and maybe the best sausage roll I’ve ever had (which as a Brit is high accolade!)! Such friendly people here too, highly recommend people stop by for a drink and a baked good 🙂

I really liked this place in the past, always come in when I in town with my daughter. I have always had a great experience until today. I was extremely taken back by how rude and unfriendly the two girls working were. They could have not been more put out and there was not a soul in the bakery. No greeting. The one girl was standing behind the counter on her phone. It is Really not a good look for the business. I did not want to stay and regretted spending my money. I have never been treated like this before by an employee and was not expecting it from Cattail Bakery. HORRIBLE customer service.

Pastries are delicious. Lol s of yummy options. Iced chai perfect. Staff spends time chatting instead of keeping an eye out for customers. The fork rack was empty, as was the water dispenser. The seating area is nice, although noisy. Chairs needed wiped.
