One of the best Mexican restaurants in the region. The family and I stop here regularly when we are passing through town. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, large portions all at a reasonable price. There is a large variety to select from on the menu.
Only complaint is that the meat is lacking seasoning. The al pastor and Barilla had little to no flavor.

I asked the locals which Mexican restaurant in town was “the best.” Catrina’s topped the list. We went and recommendations weren’t wrong. I got chicken with spinach, which is one of my faves. The chicken was cooked “blackened” style. Everything about this joint was good. It’s better than anything Mexican in Kearney

This might be the most pathetically excuse for Mexican food ever. I don’t leave reviews and don’t wish to remember this meal at all, but hopefully it’ll save you. Ordered takeout on a Tuesday evening. Upon pickup, they sat the takeout bag on the table, rang me up, and never said a word the entire time. Got home and was missing one of our entrees. Called to tell them it was forgotten and before I could say I was on my way to come back and get it, rudely asked if I was going to come get it. Of course I am, I paid for it. I jokingly asked if they deliver and the guy in the phone sighed and grumbled to someone else. Got the quesabirrias and the beef broth literally looked like water and smelled rotten. It was no where near a birria consume. Would’ve taken a picture but when I asked if this was actually the broth they took it from me and didn’t give me anything back. It was like someone took 1 beef broth cube and mixed it into a gallon of water. There was also no cheese in the quesabirria. Fail! The photos are of the steak burrito of which all the meat was in one chunk of fat and gristle. This was literally the one big hunk of “steak”. The cheese dip tasted okay but for $5.00 you get a 3.5oz container. Apparently from what I observed on tables you get punished for take out buy getting half the amount of dip size for the same price. Comically bad food and horrible service.

Highly disappointed. I have always loved eating here , but tonight will more than likely be the last time. The last 3x we have eaten there the food was cold and they brought me the wrong food. I ended up eating my husband’s food. Everyone’s food at the table was cold. My husband sent his back to be warmed up. They also make you feel like you need to hurry and order and took my husband’s food before he was even done. They did take 10.00 off our order for our trouble but with the service and cold food not doing it again.

Wonderful! We shared half shrimp half steak fajitas with the queso dip. Everything was great. My margarita was also amazing. Super fast and friendly service! We have never been out to Holdrege before but will definitely stop and eat here if we are through again!

Food was excellent. Did take some time to be prepared. Wheeled out on a cart so the bottoms of the plates would get messy with other food. Serving size was huge for some dishes. A bit warm inside, and the bathrooms needed to be restocked.

The food was absolutely delicious! I highly, highly recommend this place. Catrina’s Tacos are a flavor bomb, Catrina’s Fries were flavorful and decadent, and the shrimp salad was perfect -the shrimp was perfectly cooked and the avocado was generous and perfectly ripe.
The staff were efficient and friendly.
