What an amazing treasure for our community! The food here is very simple and very delicious. Simple done to perfection. When my boyfriend and I first started eating there we would go two days in a row because we loved it so much. And it tastes like Honduras. It’s often full of people eating tasty food together, so you know people love it. The aguas are great. I love the avena (hot oatmeal drink). Everything I have had here is delicious. Don’t wait…go get a baleada!

The place looks very nice. Ordering was easy, and when asked if a plate could be adjusted to have “yucca frita” instead of platain, it was allowed.
I asked if a children’s menu was available and was old they had one, but no one could find it or something. And when I asked if I could at least know I was told one item and just other things like that. They should have it available or put it on the wall or something for the client to see.
I got the carne with rice and yucca frita. I was not a fan of the flavor of the rice, but it was well cooked. The meat was way overcooked, but the flavor was good. The yucca frita was the best thing on the plate. That was delicious. I do wish it had just a bit more meat but the amount of yucca was amazing.
Overall, the prices for the food are very good compared to other restaurants in the area I’ve visited selling similar items.
The service was moatly good. One employee looked and talked like they didn’t want to be there, but the rest were nice. Also, like I mentioned, they made a change on my plate, which was nice of them.

This place was absolutely delicious! Staff were very helpful and accommodating with my infant son and I. My Baleada was very flavorful and the nance juice was delicious. Would definitely eat again next time we are in Waukegan.

I love catrachos restaurant but yesterday my son went to purchase 8 baladas and almost everyone had rocks in the beans. First time this has happened but I was very disappointed. My daughter in law also asked if they were hiring to which they responded “Are you Honduran”

Huge portions, fast casual, but the food fell short of expectations. The portions were mostly filler with little protein. The flavors were bland, and the chicken was overcooked. The pork rinds and plantains were rubbery, while the pickled sides were good. The horchata was bland.
