Love this off-the-path hidden gem. Fantastic drinks (clearly I’m a matcha fan), cozy vibe with comfortable seating, used books for sale, a game shelf, wonderful staff, delicious fresh-baked pastries, ice cream, and Cathedral-roasted coffee beans! The owners are genuine, kind & welcoming; the kind of business you want to support. Great place to meet friends, get some work done, or treat yourself to a peaceful afternoon. We are lucky to have this treasure in Scappoose.

Cathedral Coffee is the only coffee shop in town that my family goes to. The baristas are always lovely and helpful. They have a nice assortment of coffees, teas, matcha and pastries. Great place to meet up with friends. Definitely check them out if you get an opportunity.

I love spending time at Cathedral Coffee. It’s cozy and welcoming. The food is good, service great and the coffee is even better. As a former Master Coffee Roaster and barista myself, I am about as snobby as anyone can get about coffee.

I love this coffee shop — the drinks are delicious and the vibe is great. Docking one star because the to-go cup lids never seem to fit quite right, and I’ve ended up wearing my coffee more than once. I also really wish customers could add their own cream and sugar; my drink is rarely made the way I like. Still, it’s a wonderful spot overall — just hoping for a smoother to-go experience!

As a coffee person,(been roasting my own coffee for years and enjoy trying coffee shops everywhere I go) I’d like to give them 5 stars. The coffee is brewed quite nicely, not weak, and espresso drinks are delicious, and probably a better value. A 12 oz drip coffee should not be $4, especially in a working class town of 8,000. This is more than drip coffee costs at most Portland coffee shops, and Portland is a coffee town if there ever was one. Spend another buck 50 and get a latte, those seem to be a better value. Pastries are good, (also a bit pricey) but this location seems to be out of the good stuff much earlier in the morning than their St John’s location, which has more customer traffic. Go figure. The coffee shop / bookstore (at both locations) is a great business model, and the place has a good vibe. Just need to moderate some of the prices.

A warm, welcoming space. The staff are friendly. The pastries are yummy. I have only gotten the savory pastries and all have been very tasty. I love the seasonal coffee and tea options. The shop has books for sale too! It is a bit distracting because when I meet someone for coffee I am constantly scanning the book titles for a book I “need”. This is the perfect spot to meet up with someone. It feels like a community in there. We are so lucky to have this spot in Scappoose!

Pleasant cafe with beverages and pastries. The espresso beverages we tried were better than the big chains. Indoor and outdoor seating. Paved parking lot behind the building. Appeared to be free parking. There are also books for sale. There were restrooms in the hallway of the building, but they were locked. They may provide a key for customers, we didn’t ask.
