We happenstance passed by this stand on our way through town and it was perfect timing because my child was demanding catfish for dinner. She was extremely happy and chowed down on her kids meal. The fish was fresh, the service was great, and we look forward to stopping by on our next trip through town.

On 1/2/26 around 5:00 p.m…I have been going to Catfish One for years and I have never experienced what I experienced tonight. I place my order like I normally do…extra crispy on the fish and medium crisp on the dill pickles. As I place my order, the lady that took my order read off the order to the cooks in the back. As she was reading my order off to the person in the back, she stated this is not McDonald’s. I said wow, it’s not McDonalds, but if I am paying I would like the food cooked so I can eat the food. So after that encounter, I told the lady that took the order to take the fried dill pickles off. So after I thought about it, I just got my money back and took our business to another location. For her to say that out loud, that was totally disrespectful and inconsiderate of the customer and they will not have to worry about us again or our business.

So I’m new to the seafood world and trying to come around. However my husband and daughter loved their meal. My daughter’s favorite was the jumbo shrimp.

Everyone started eating away before I could snap pics lol. I wish they didn’t run out of fries but must try again to truly determine.

Update: I wasn’t a fan the first time and still not a fan. My family was not happy which is sad because the first time they enjoyed it. But I wouldn’t recommend, service is not the best either.

Catfish one used to be real good just as little as two years ago. I ordered a combo meal and they didn’t give much of anything. I literally used to get a plate and get a full meal out of it now they don’t give you much of anything but a kid size snack! Is this what happens if you cut your portions down to nothing so you don’t have to raise the prices much you can keep never again never never never again! I’m not coming back to complain I’m not coming back to tell you that I feel like I got ripped you just a never gonna get my money again, catfish one ain’t all that no more! I don’t know what everybody else is Raven about but they didn’t give me nothing waste of money and I used to eat there

With fried food, it’s going to be greasy but our meal was just overly heavy and our cole slaw was kinda warm. Did not sit well with our stomachs. Both of us felt nauseous after. They also only accept cash or check.

I ordered a small catfish filet with fries and two servings of boiled potatoes. I got fries, two servings of boiled potatoes, coleslaw, that I did not order, and ZERO! Yes, I said ZERO catfish! $10.50 for a bunch of potatoes and coleslaw that I don’t eat.
