My favorite place to eat catfish. The staff is always friendly and it’s fun to hear the kitchen staff laugh and have fun at work. The inside is always clean.

Haven’t eaten here in years, but have always had great memories from eating here when I was younger. Came right after they opened for lunch and was very disappointed. The good about our visit was the staff was friendly and the building was very clean. The bad though was the fish, the star of the show was very bland. No seasoning at all. Fries and hush puppies were good though. Also, the men’s restroom was not ready for customers. No paper towels, little to no toilet paper and the solo stall has a door that does not lock or latch, it just freely swings open.

Wow, this place was totally empty when we arrived and only had 2 other tables come in after us; however, they do seem to do pretty good business in the drive through. Decor is old, outdated and dark. Took about 5 minutes for someone to come take our order and looked pretty put out that he was having to do anything. They have a salad bar area, but was not available the night we were there (thursday). Food did come out fairly quickly, but was mediocre. I had popcorn shrimp that tasted like the oil needed to be changed in the fryer. The cheese sticks were served with Ranch and marinara – pretty good, although a little skinny. Loved the hushpuppies! The outside of the building looks great- nice flower beds, parking lot fairly clean. Doesn’t help when the employees are taking smoke breaks on the front steps though. Not a place we will be returning to anytime soon.

WARNING!!!! IF IT’S NOT IN THE NOTES ON DOORDASH YOU WONT GET IT!! We forgot to ask for ketchup and called to make sure it was in the sack. They still did not put it in there. Make sure you put in your order that you want relish, tartar sauce, butter AND ketchup!!! You get ZERO condiments!! On a positive note…Great food! Always unlocks a childhood memory of Sunday after church. After 40 years it still tastes the same. Just make sure you ask for your condiments when you place an order online.

My husband and I stopped overnight in Texarkana and was looking for a local restaurant when we came across “Catfish King”. The service was outstanding and we were very pleased with our food. The catfish dinner was amazing, served with 3 pieces of catfish, pinto beans, fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. The price was very reasonable, especially with all that came with the dinner. If you have the chance to eat there, don’t pass it up!

We visited Catfish King for dinner. When we arrived, the staff was waiting to serve us. The dining room was not too busy and there was plenty of seating available. The food was good and the staff was happy to provide us with all needed condiments.

Got there around 6 no one there. Should’ve took the hint and left. Stayed and took a chance. Not the best decision. Employee wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu. Got the catfish dinner two thin pieces of catfish. Maybe a half of a fillet total. Hush puppies and fries were warm at best. Catfish was hot just was kinda skimpy. Also no salad bar.

I’ve been craving good catfish so tried this place out! It was very good! I really appreciate that it wasn’t overly salted like most places do. It didn’t even leave me with greasy hands…double plus! The cylinder shaped hush puppies threw me off as I’ve never had anything but round . The cashier was super friendly and accommodating! Pleasant experience all around. And the price was great!

Not a great place to eat anymore. Rude cashiers at the window and rude management. Definitely suggest that no one goes here unless you want to get treated like trash.
I called in my order ahead of time so it would be ready when I got there. Then was told that it wasn’t ready ( they were not busy ) the cashier started off with a rude attitude and when we she asked us to pull up and wait we said “ok we know” then the cashier yelled out “girl boo” (don’t know what that’s supposed to mean ) so I requested the manager to have a conversation about her employees rude behavior. When she came to the window she started off with an attitude as well saying that she wasn’t going to reprimand her employees over their behavior. So I don’t think me and my wife will be going back to this location anytime in the future and I hope everyone heads my warning.
Go to the New Boston location for much better service and attitudes.
