43 YEARS! Have paid off and they have got it down to a science! Don’t settle for the catfish buffet in Gainesville. Make the drive north on 377, it is well worth every moment you wait and the $3.00 extra dollars for the lunch plate.
Fast, hot, crispy perfectly cooked food with a portion enough for two! All their sauces are homemade and delicious.
All the food was perfectly seasoned and cooked. These folks know what they are doing when it comes to catfish.
If you want pie, there is enough for an army to choose from.
The atmosphere is nostalgic with both southern and western flair.

We stopped in at Catfish Haven and I’m glad we did.
I had the fried chicken tenders and they were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and clearly cooked fresh. The white gravy was spot on and paired perfectly with the chicken. Toast was warm and buttery, not just an afterthought on the plate. I also tried the broccoli rice casserole and it was solid comfort food, cheesy and flavorful.
The salad that came with the meal was fresh and simple, good lettuce, real tomato and onion, and decent house dressings. Nothing fancy, just done right.
Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere felt like a true hometown restaurant. You can tell this is a place that’s been doing the same things well for a long time. Big portions, fair prices, and food that tastes like someone actually cares how it comes out.
If you’re looking for a reliable spot for classic comfort food, this place delivers. We’ll definitely be back.

They had just reopened from their annual Holiday shutdown. But the food was fresh. The vegetables crisp (cucumber & onion). And the fried hush puppies were so good we took an order home.

Stopped in yesterday on the way back from Madil and had the Catfish lunch special. Fish was well cooked, crisp and not greasy, okra was good , fries were pretty good(I prefer mine a little over done to be fair) and the price for the amount of food was great. The wait staff was quick and courteous, and the restaurant and bathroom were spotlessly cleaned. Great place to stop and grab a bite.

This is a great place to eat. We had been trying to get here for a while and it was well worth the effort. We had catfish and it was awesome. They have many sides to choose from (they had broccoli cheese casserole) and the prices are pretty good. They also carry homemade pies. If you’re anywhere near here give it a try.

I loved this restaurant! You walk in and see how clean, and people welcome you with smiles, then the food is so amazing! My friend and I couldn’t believe how much we got and the selection of pies we had to choose.
I recommend so highly! I just want to add my friend and I only got the kids meals I had already ate my most of my fish before I thought I have to take pics to brag about this restaurant! Can’t say enough about Catfish Havèn!

Stopped in for the first time in a long while, and it was fantastic! The catfish was fresh and perfectly cooked, the sides were delicious, and the portions were more than generous. The whole place has a friendly, welcoming feel, and you can tell the family puts real care into every detail. Definitely worth the visit—I’ll be back for sure!
