Don’t stop, KEEP GOING! This place is not what it use to be under this new management. We ordered the fish boxes for $6 and it was horrible. This is NOT catfish at all, likely one of cheapest fish you can purchase for a restaurant to cook. The fish was rubbery, and hard, as if we were eating plastic, and it looked like plastic. The hush puppies were hard as a rock and taste like the fridge. Fries were ok. Back in the day this place was good and popping, but those days have come to an in. The floor was sticky, prices high, and I wouldn’t dare eat from the country bar. ☠️ Management seemed nice, and they have kids for waitresses. I would advise you look elsewhere for seafood, because this place is not it!!

Terrible, terrible, terrible! Back in the day, this was a go to catfish spot after church that we looked forward to.
Today however, that’s no reason I would EVER come back.
The server was polite but slower than I think I’ve ever experienced. Hush puppies- saturated with oil. Fries – cold & saturated with oil. Catfish ( if you can call it that) – thin, mushy& saturated with oil. Shrimp – saturated with oil. We couldn’t even finish our meals. We were told we would receive a discount & we’re charged full price.

Catfish Cove is a very relaxing visit, with all of the veggie sides at a buffet-style table and different from most fish eateries. This was our first visit and we were asked our final approval of the product as it was presented to us by our server. On my next visit, I will ask for options as to flavor or spices as the fillets were a little bland (sorry); but I was asked if the fillets were okay. I am returning to make them aware of my preferences instead of speaking negatives. The atmosphere is very family-friendly and relaxing and the prices are very reasonable, bone appetit. On the Sunnyvale, TX border and plenty of parking.

I’m not usually a catfish guy. I don’t dislike it, but so many people fry the hell out of it. Usually looks like the fried tongue of a shoe. Buy not at Catfish Cove. Filters are healthy sized correctly fried portions of catfish. Not spiced with granny’s secret recipe, not done weird filler from dinner party of the fish that no one knows about. Just good, and I mean GOOD Catfish. The relish bar is very tasty and makes it fell like you’re at home. One nice post Covid touch is that at the relish bar they require you to wear your mask and these fancy gloves. Makes it feel like home, but a safe healthy home if good friends trying to cope just like the rest of us.

Most disgusting place ever… I am not sure who writes the good reviews or how old they are but I went on 7.1.2017 & ordered pick up spend 30 dollars which would have been a good amount if the food was good.. The fish had the skin and tasted too fishy as if it had not been cleaned correctly the fries were black the fried pickles were oily really oily the okra was the only good part there the staff was nice but poor management the staff was way better than the management..

My mother and I visited earlier for dinner. We ordered the seafood platter which includes their buffet. The full price for each meal was $20. It is worth it with large portions and 10 different sides to choose from. Our waiter was fantastic The atmosphere was very home down country, perfect noise level & plenty of Lgs to watch .. I would encourage anyone to stop by and try em out for themselves..loved it..

Was disappointed with my order. It is already kind of pricey but they are normally delicious. It wasn’t too crowded when we came but there were a few people making to go orders as well. Either way my fish was over cooked and the hush puppies were over cooked. I had more overcooked skin then actual fish. Idk if the cook felt rushed or what but it may be quiet a while before I go back. I left a picture for reference as you can see half of my fish was over cooked skin. I gave 2 stars because my pasta salad and Cole slaw were good at least.

The catfish is some of the best I’ve had in Dallas. I can’t give a five because the catfish is all I ever have, my favorite dish. Nice cozy country like atmosphere. Nice salad bar with all entrees.
