I’ve heard for so long how great the fish is here so I had to try them out. I was honestly disappointed. The catfish tasted like it had way too much salt in the batter. I honestly liked eating Jack’s catfish better. The tarter sauce was fantastic. It had a great taste to it along with the hushpuppies. The cole slaw was very good as well. Over all I was not pleased with the outcome of the food and not sure if I will go back

First time trying and will definitely be back. We ordered ahead and had no wait time. Food was delicious Got the boiled shrimp , catfish fillets with coleslaw and jalapeño hush puppies Everything was amazing and fresh!! Seasoned to perfection ♥️ The atmosphere was so chill People everywhere , sitting area with string lights (adorable) I can’t wait to go in the spring and enjoy a meal outside there Absolutely loved it !!

So very close to 5*. I will have to go back to see. Folks were nice, but it took me a while to get acknowledged, but they were busy. First glance, good portions, first taste of fries, meh. First bite of catfish, meh….then the shrimp and GREAT. Took it home, put in the air crisper that evening. I found the catfish underneath was very good. Jalapeño hush puppies were really good crisper. Fries were still mediocre. If you live nearby, no need to drive into town good place. I will go back. It is a good value. I will try another side than fries. Hoping I can go another star.

If you haven’t tried them, you MUST!! You will not be disappointed! Crab cakes, crab claws, jalapeño hushpuppies are the best and my personal favorite. I’ve recommended the crab cakes to many people who agreed they were awesome! My husband LOVES the catfish and the shrimp po boy is favorite of my kiddos. All that being said, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. And the staff is always super friendly.

This is the best catfish in Northport and all surrounding areas. It’ll get you addicted and you’ll be driving from Moundville just to get some. And you can bet they’re busy, so it might take a minute, but minds will be blown and perfection takes time. Pull your phone out and sit back, you will not regret it.

12/13/24: I had to drive down to Tuscaloosa from the trailer in Northport, so my food was warm when I got in. Then, I took my time getting settled. By the time I sat down to eat, my food wad tepid.
I, REALLY, like my food to be hot when I eat. But the flavor held up. I was surprised that I liked it. I’d guess that the distance is the only reason I haven’t eaten from here more often. The clerk who took my phone order was patient and provided GREAT customer service.
