The catfish here is tough to beat. Just wish there were a couple more on the the plate for the price! The hush puppies & pickled tomatoes are a fantastic starter. The Mac n cheese was a little too runny, but overall it didn’t detract from a positive experience of the entire meal. Buttering both sides of Texas toast is the ONLY acceptable way to serve it, so kudos to the back of the house for knowing how to get it done right. Service and wait times were very reasonable.

I found this restaurant from a Google search. I was really looking forward to it. I drove from Nashville. I had just glanced at the menu before coming. I was hoping for a fish platter with different things. I got catfish, scallops and shrimp. I’m not a fan of oysters. The hush puppies were kind of boring. No real flavor which was surprising. The coleslaw was fantastic. Some of the best I have had. Macaroni and cheese was dripping in cheese. Too much to enjoy it. The catfish was thin probably a little over cooked. The ends were curled and uneatable. Not sure what the tomato stuff was. I was not a fan. The food came out rather quickly. Everyone was nice and friendly.

Pleasantly surprised at this little gem in Columbia. We were passing through and were in the mood for Catfish. Not often do we find a place where we enjoyed every single thing we ordered. Catfish and chicken tenders were excellent. Hot and fresh. Hushpuppies were the best we have eaten in years. Perfect! (Not heavy, not greasy. Cooked perfectly!) Green beans and coleslaw were great too. Loved the pickled green tomatoes! (New one for us!)

My family decided on Catfish Campus for my dads birthday dinner since he had been wanting a place that does whole catfish. Service was good. The atmosphere could have been better with tables that weren’t so wobbly, and the floor had not been super greasy. But we won’t be back. The catfish just wasn’t very good. It was edible, but that’s about it. Maybe I’m used to better quality fish in Mississippi, but both my dad and I were not very happy with the fish. IMO, if I’m going to run a place focused on one dish, I’m going to make sure it’s the best I can deliver.

Good food, pretty good service, and decent atmosphere. Their pickled tomatoes were awesome, so were the fried green tomatoes. Fish was cooked really well as were the clam strips and stuffed crab. 8.8/10 had never been but we’ll definitely be going back.

First time here and I enjoyed myself. The staff is really nice and we were sat down fast. The building is a little out of date but the food was good. The hush puppies were really good as well as my chicken fingers. Definitely somewhere you need to check out.
