My husband, son and I ate here today. We were greatful for the freshness and flavor of all that we ordered. We had an appetizer of fried green tomatoes that were hot, crispy and tasty. The catfish dinners were phenomenal. We will be back!

Dude, I found this awesome hidden gem in Columbia, Tennessee! It’s been around for over 20 years, but the owner just started recently – apparently he bought out the previous owners, who were probably retired by then. He’s got a great staff, his family helps out, and the service is amazing. The food is super fresh, maybe even all from scratch, and it’s seriously the best Southern comfort food I’ve ever had. Seriously, if you’re ever in Columbia, check out Catfish Campus – you won’t regret it. Especially the seafood plate, it’s under $25, like, around $18, and it’s not some fake stuff. Say less.

We had lunch for the first time at Catfish Campus in Columbia. They have been around for ages, but for some reason we have never eaten there. The food was absolutely delicious and we had the sweetest lady to wait on us. It’s the first time we have ever had pickled green tomatoes…yum! Never heard of them before. Husband had the 4 piece fried catfish fillets, white beans, turnip greens and I had the 4 piece fried chicken, coleslaw, fries, and hush puppies. We ended up bringing home half of my chicken dinner and a 16 oz. container of the pickled green tomatoes. We will definitely return.

Wow! Everything was DELICIOUS and cooked so well! Moist catfish and crisp breading… NOT easy to accomplish and they do it GREAT! Don’t judge the restaurant by it’s ambience, it’s the food and the service that deserve the 5 stars rating!

Oh my. I’ve been craving nice fried clams since Opryland served them waaaay back in the day. And theirs didn’t disappoint!
Mom and I went for a rushed lunch today; the waitress gave great advice for the items to avoid as they took longer to cook. Between us we had the clams (delicious!), fried okra ( generous and great!), fries (the hottest I’ve been served yay!), green beans and turnip greens, both seasoned to perfection. Plus the complimentary hush puppies rocked as did the pickled green tomatoes.
The portions were generous, the service excellent, the restaurant spotless, and the prices right.
In addition it was very easy to roll the big wheelchair inside. Didn’t see the restrooms, sorry.

It was our first time dining at Catfish Campus Restaurant. We were hooked as soon as our waiter placed a bowl of the most delicious hush puppies in front of us. Evidently they bring them and individual bowls of pickled green tomatoes to everyone to enjoy before their meal. We all ordered the 3 Catfish Fillet Dinners. Each dinner came with two sides. The collard greens and coleslaw were my favorite. If we are in the area, we will definitely patronize this restaurant again.

Our first visit after a very long time saying “we have to try that place”. Very worth it. Stopped in for lunch with an out of town friend, and glad we did.

We each ordered the 4-piece catfish meal (about $14) and a drink. First came some yummy hush puppies for the table plus a dish of pickled tomatoes for each person. Both were very good. Then the plates were served and we were delighted with the portions. I anticipated smaller pieces of catfish, hence the 4-piece meal and brought home two pieces and two hush puppies. My friend ordered cole slaw and a backed potato as his two sides. I had the great slaw but their fries a crazy good. The have a seasoning coat on them and come out very crunchy and we’ll seasoned.

Next time, I’ll try their GRILLED options – catfish, chicken, tilapia. I love seafood and can’t wait to see how these fare out.

Overall, you can feel pretty certain you’ll be pleased. As mentioned, this is our first visit, but already planning another visit. Our sons, who devoured the leftovers, are already planning to go on Saturday.

Great comfort food, very fair prices, super staff and nice atmosphere. Add this place to your “go to” restaurant list.

The one thing that keeps me coming to Catfish Campus is their level of “Consistency & Quality”

They are one of few restaurants that still has affordable prices to be able to dine and get some really good food. I ordered the Fish and chicken meal with White beans and Cole Slaw. (Delicious )The homemade hush puppies are So good, especially with the sweet pickles they bring out.

Visiting here feeds my nostalgic cravings for southern good food…
The lunch specials are very affordable and will be worth being late returning to work
