WARNING: my 1/2 lb catfish dinner with two sides and a drink was $24! I was in a bit of a hunger/exhaustion daze when I ordered and paid with a credit card. It took me a few minutes to realize that I paid that much for lunch. She did suggest whiting would be less expensive, but I wanted catfish.
Delicious all around. Ordered a little bit of everything and literally EVERYTHING tasted amazing.
Wonderful staff that goes above and beyond. Great location to eat. For sure recommend
(Not pictured the cheese cake because I ate it too quickly lol delicious as well)
I don’t rave about restaurants too often and I’m a picky eater. Highly recommend.
I was genuinely excited to hear a Charlie’s location had opened near where I spend a few nights each week. That excitement disappeared fast after placing my very first — and definitely last — order.
I called around 6:30 PM to place my order, only to be hung up on mid-sentence. Maybe it was a mistake, so I called back and successfully ordered a catfish dinner with two sides. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes.
I arrived, paid by 6:48, and used the restroom to wash my hands. Then I waited… and waited. After 25 minutes had passed, I politely asked the girl at the front how much longer it would be. She was rude and dismissive, saying “5 more minutes” because they forgot to drop the fries. I told her I could take something else since my break was ending, and it had already been over 30 minutes.
Finally, after 36 minutes, I received my food — and to my surprise, the fries that supposedly caused the delay were clearly not fresh. They were cold, soggy, and tasted like they’d been sitting for hours. Not even a dog would’ve eaten them.
If I was kept waiting because of fries, the least they could do was make sure they were hot and fresh. But no — instead, I was handed old, mushy fries and treated like I was an inconvenience for asking about my order.
This is a terrible way to run a business and a great way to lose customers.
Bottom line: If you enjoy waiting twice as long as promised for cold, subpar food and rude service — sure, eat here. But if you value your time, your money, and basic customer service, go elsewhere.
through the roof and I had the audacity to allow myself to be robbed of $40+ dollars on some atrocious food from a local establishment that I found to be a NEVER AGAIN SPOT. !!! Thanks Charlie D’s..Never again….
