For the past few years that my family has been visiting Lake George/Bolton Landing area, we’ve always made it a priority to visit Cate’s Creamery! It’s always an amazing experience. The portions are very good for the price, and the flavor selections are so good! They truly have something for everyone! The space is very clean and welcoming. The staff is super pleasant, and they even spark up friendly conversation. This is our go to every year!

Staff here is very sweet and friendly. Always a pleasure to come. They are quick to offer samples or help one decide between flavors. The ice cream itself is pretty good. I believe they use perry’s brand flavors.
Downside is there is only one dairy-free flavor available and the place gets super crowded during tourist season.

My family and I just love Cate’s Creamery! There are so many delicious choices to choose from, including dairy free, frozen yogurt, and sherbert offerings. My favorite is the raspberry truffle with chocolate sprinkles. Just delicious! One of the highlights of visiting Cate’s Creamery is enjoying Jamie’s bright and contagious personality. To us, she is the face of this establishment. What an asset! We can’t wait to return !

Excellent ice cream, and excellent staff. My 3 year old accidentally dropped his ice cream and one of the staff happened to see, and when they saw the disappointed look on his face, they stopped the production line to take care of him and make him another on the house….which was SO sweet and I totally respect how they put the customer first. Also, one of the children we were with had a peanut allergy, and AGAIN the stopped everything to take necessary precautions, hold up the production…to make sure that he was taken care of and safe.

My wife and kids have peanut/tree nut allergies, and the staff was very accommodating both times we were here. They washed all scoopers and opened new containers of ice cream to avoid any cross contamination. Good selection of flavors too. They also clearly post the allergy information for each flavor.

Stopped by Cate’s Creamery hoping for a delightful scoop. Unfortunately, the ice cream itself was a letdown, tasting strikingly like a bland, generic store brand. This was particularly disappointing considering its predecessor, Ben & Jerry’s, set the bar high. Additionally, the interior redesign is less inviting, and the absence of waffle cones on a Monday, with no restock until Friday, was another letdown. It’s concerning to witness such a decline in quality from what was once a beloved spot.

Having frequented this spot when it was Ben & Jerry’s, the transformation to Cate’s Creamery has been underwhelming to say the least. The rich flavors and creamy consistency that once were, are now replaced by lackluster and bland offerings. A significant dip in ice cream quality and the absence of familiar favorites make it hard to endorse this new local offering.
