A local staple for 35 years, this longtime favorite offers prime water views, boat docks, and the perfect setting to relax and soak in the Florida lifestyle. Whether you arrive by car or by boat, the laid-back waterfront vibe delivers every time.
The menu truly has something for everyone — starters, handhelds, salads, entrées, bowls, tacos, and even a full dinner menu available at lunch. They also offer an $8 kids’ menu, making it a great family-friendly option. And no worries for the land lovers — they feature a dedicated “land lubbers” menu too.
We enjoyed the blackened grouper, an amazing shrimp po’ boy, and a fresh salad topped with blackened shrimp — all with a sunny view of the river inlet and docks. ☀️
Right next door is Rum River Tiki Bar, a fun outdoor bar & grill serving up great cocktails and daily specials — the perfect spot to continue your waterfront afternoon.
Come for the views and stay for the food. And tell them Tampa Bay Food Tours sent you!
My wife wasn’t very hungry so she ordered chicken tacos with rice & beans as a side. The tacos look like something you would whip together & microwave at home. I’m not convinced they were not microwaved. She said everything was pretty bland and the flavor of the rice wasn’t very good.
I ordered grilled shrimp that was bland and a little cold. I started with a cup of clam chowder and caesar salad. Now the clam chowder was actually decent. The salad was drowning in dressing. It was awful. The dinner rolls were cheapy frozen rolls you pull out of a bag and bake. They’re not bad, but not anything to write home about. My other side was seasoned fries that were decent, though not very warm.
So … if you want potato dishes, they got you covered. If you want good seafood, maybe go somewhere else.
Even my scotch was watered down. I’m really not that picky. But this was disappointing.
Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our server, Haley, was kind and pleasant, but the service overall was extremely slow. We sat multiple times with empty drinks when we were ready for more wine, water, and other beverages. At a few points, we had to get up and find her or a host because she was nowhere to be found.
When the food came out, it was pretty average. Most dishes were lukewarm at best and lacked seasoning — everything tasted fairly bland. We had hoped to treat our family to a really good meal, so it was a letdown.
We probably won’t be back, but I genuinely hope they can improve because the atmosphere is great and it feels like it could be a fantastic spot with some changes.
We were seated right away. Our food came out pretty quick. We will be coming back here to eat again.
*** Update
We celebrated my husband’s birthday with friends recently here because we had a great experience the first time.
The food and service were above my expectations.
This waterfront restaurant is beautifully decorated, bright and airy. Spacious seating inside and out. Large windows to look at the water and marina. You can come by boat too.
The food is incredible! Deliciously seasoned, not overpowering.
We started with mussels and oyster rockerfella. We asked for bread to soak up the sauce, so yummy.
Tried my husband’s Mediterranean Grouper, this was out of this world. I had the Grouper Tacos. Lightly battered, large pieces of grouper with lettuce, tomato in their sauce, beans and rice, delicious.
Fresh vegetables selection.
Fabulous cocktails.
Our service was inpecable.
This is dining at it’s best!
Kudos to the chefs! Everything cooked to order, not precooked.
You’ll want to come back.
If you agree, please give a thumbs up.
