After seeing Catch in the City on social media, my boyfriend and I visited for date night on Friday, 1/23/26. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was kind, attentive, and checked on us regularly.
The restaurant is very small, which wasn’t an issue since it wasn’t crowded, but the atmosphere felt unprofessional at times due to loud staff conversations and music. The Tear Drop cocktail was excellent, similar to a lemon drop with a raspberry twist and definitely a highlight. The food was decent overall (7/10), though my collard greens lacked seasoning. An 18% gratuity was added to the bill.
The biggest concern was safety. While we were packing our food to go, a group of 5–6 men entered through the back of the restaurant rather than the main entrance. There was no visible security, and the situation made us feel immediately uncomfortable and unsafe, prompting us to leave.
Overall, I’d rate this restaurant a 3/5. It has potential, but improved professionalism and visible security measures are necessary. Safety should be a priority, and until that is addressed, I would not return.

I love trying different restaurants around Atlanta. This is fairly new but my experience was amazing. Great vibes, with great food.
My most favorite was the buffalo shrimp & Red Snapper. Everything was succulent.
My bartender Teir Drop made my drinks exactly how I wanted it . It’s small but it’s very imitate.. cute for grls day or date night

First off I will like to say I’m soooo proud of all the Owner’s involved at Catch In The City….Especially “Teardrop”all the food was amazing, nice area & friendly staff I felt the vibe once I entered the building? I also saw few faces I knew then the patio set up was nice as well I can’t wait to comeback I heard about the snapper, salmon bites, etc? Can’t wait until I get my hookah as well but I’m really happy to see young black people come together on times like this…I will also look into having my parties soon? Food was so good I had my food to go I end up staying longer with my drink was needed at the time

We booked a reservation here for Valentine’s Day while my daughter was in town for a cheer competition. We didn’t realize ahead of time that it was also a hookah bar, but the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived.
The food was absolutely delicious, and they even gave us extra sauces to take home without us having to ask, which was super nice! My daughter is 13, and the hookah smoke was bothering her nose a bit, so we decided to take our food to go. The staff handled that so kindly and made the transition easy for us.
The only suggestion I would make is to lower the music volume. It was extremely loud — we couldn’t hear each other talking even while sitting right next to one another.
That said, you truly couldn’t ask for a nicer or friendlier staff, and the food was wonderful. Overall, it was a positive experience!

It’s nice to have a new spot in this location and it’s a nice add to the area cuisine. Once you walk in the atmosphere takes over. The staff was friendly and the patio was closed in and full services are rendered there as well. They also accommodate parties apparently because a birthday party was being set up If you are seeing this before FEB 17 Mardi Gras the drink specials will be two dollars for Mardi Gras so stop by. The drink list is pictured hopefully my Samsung didn’t let you down lol

Stopped by during the happy hour specials. The whiting basket fish was well seasoned and flavorful, and the fries were, well, fries i guess but decent and i liked the seasoning salt they put on the fries although I actually wish they were a little more generous with the fries seasoning. Crab fried rice was average, garlic butter broccoli was good. My server tyra, (i was at the bar) wasn’t overly bubbly or energetic but was polite/didn’t have an attitude and that’s all I ask. 5 star service from her. Only negative is the parking, seems limited so i had to park on the side of the building, which I didn’t mind, but i can easily see a nightmare parking situation develop if you ever go when the place is packed. Overall I recommend.

Food was great (wings, buffalo shrimp, salmon bites, egg rolls, burger was seasoned perfect). 6 of us went during cheer comp weekend and had a great experience, Mimi & Fred made sure we were taken care of. Music is very loud and there’s hookah at the bar so maybe not the best spot for kids but the weather was nice so we sat on the patio where we could talk and hang without the loud music and hookah smoke.
