Great place to stop for ice cream, shakes, and many other sweet options. Great service. Places to sit inside and outside in a very nice quaint town. Highly recommend checking it out. Prices are descent.

The ice cream here tasted a bit iced over and stale. On top of that I ordered three single scoop cups, and forgot to say they were “to-go” even though I was there ordering by myself, until after the first cup was scooped. They scooped the first cup with a decent serving when they thought I was staying and didn’t need a “to-go” lid, the other two they cheaped out on and hardly gave me a scoop in!! I had to come home and explain to my family why their cups looked empty and short changed as compared to the first scoop. Not how I want to waste my breath. Lastly they didn’t give me a bag. Love supporting small business, but make it make sense and worth it. There were two college age kids working when I visited, not a manager or owner in site. I had my service dog with me and they offered a pup cup but turned out they spoke too soon & were out. Yes, I travel often and go many places like Florida, NY, NC & California. I’ve had my fair share of ice cream and supporting of small businesses. Pro tip for this place: don’t ask for the ice cream to go. You will be short changed. Wait until AFTER it’s scooped and then ask for a lid. Posted pics from the night I visited.

I saw a review on Facebook by carolina foodie and thought we’d give it a try. We drove up from Mooresville because I really wanted the ice cream nachos. A gentleman takes my order and hands me this sloppy mess. (I couldn’t enjoy the nacho part because it was already swimming in melted ice cream or something.) It was leaking on the counter before I even got it. Made a mess all over me and everything else. My $12 ice cream mostly went in the trash. The young lady made my husband’s. It was 2 perfectly formed scoops on a bed of the lightest sugar cone chips with the perfect toppings. He enjoyed every bite. I was jealous.

Fantastic visit to The Catawba Creamy. Lot’s of flavors plus their “seasonal specials”. Baked Apple Pie won the day with my wife ordering a banana split that looked constructed instead of thrown together.

I definitely recommend visiting! They have a friendly staff and some amazing Milkshakes and Ice Cream! My go to favorite would have to be a birthday cake milkshake! It is so good and flavorful! I promise if you go one time you will definitely come back for more!
