After seeing Catalina Restaurant featured on GMA 3 of us drove over from Pensacola and ordered and ate the 4 dishes shown on the show. We were not in any way disappointed. Service was pleasant, food was delicious and plentiful. Although not featured on the show, we finished the meal with Key Lime Pie. I will return and bring more friends next time.

The best crab claws and oysters in the south! Friendly staff makes you feel like home. Yum!

I’m from Mobile and have never experienced this restaurant until last night. I was not disappointed at all. It’s such a nice and cozy little spot that has a sweet shop connected. Unfortunately we got there a little too late to enjoy the sweets next door but will be gladly going back for that. My husband and I shared a bowl of seafood gumbo, a shrimp po-boy, and the combination plate with the fried shrimp and crab claws. We left so very full and so very satisfied. Gotta love hearing some BOH banter while enjoying our meal. Go on now, go get that delicious seafood!

The food was the worst food had they were having a nursery in there. There were babies and little kids all over the place. The waitress seemed like she hated her life and did not want to be there. The baked potato was hard as a rock had to send it back, and it was still not good. The french fries were room temp. The chicken tenders were room temp slow to get refills. As you can see in the photo, there is a whole baby crib in the back.

The blackened shrimp and crab claws were very good, and the onion rings were great!

The senior adults in our church planned a luncheon at Catalina Restruant. There were over 50 people in our group, not to mention at least two dozen or more regular customers. The folks at Catalina were up for the challenge. This primarily a seafood restaurant, in the heart of Bayou LaBatre. Drink orders were taken promptly. The food was hot and fresh. Fried catfish, fried chicken fingers, fried shrimp, coleslaw, stuffed baked potatoes. The wait staff were mostly family. They were very attentive to keep plates and glasses full. Lots of smiling. Nobody left hungry, nobody left thirsty. Everyone left full and happy

I’ve never left a review but I had to after this awful experience. Went here as a family and was completely disappointed. Slow to get re fills… room temperature French fries….. the baked potatoes were hard in the middle…. smelled like a nursing home….. and there were waitresses with babies back in the kitchen are crying. Listening to babies cry while eating sub par food is an experience I DO NOT recommend.

I wish I had found this place years ago! The catfish is awesome and my son loved the crab legs. I think he practically got the whole snow crab!
