This is such a lovely coffee shop with extremely friendly people. The guy who made my latte was very kind and knowledgeable, and the latte was excellent, with a rich, bold coffee flavor. I also appreciated the cozy atmosphere and noticed that they seem to have a loyal local customer base, with whom they have a warm and welcoming relationship. As a non local, I’d love to return and have some coffee here again in the future.

Cozy little spot with great potential!
This coffee shop is undeniably cute — warm, inviting, and perfect for a rainy day hangout. I tried the cheesy chive scone, which unfortunately wasn’t my favorite, and as someone who drinks coffee daily, I found the brew a bit underwhelming. That said, the atmosphere is lovely enough that I’d still come back just to relax and enjoy the space. With a few tweaks to the menu, this place could really shine.

A re-discovery, I remember coming here before and liking it and I figure I owe it the review as a repeat customer. In the snowy throws of an NJ winter this coffee shop is the perfect hideaway? Respite? With excellent coffee that will get anyone refueled and going. I think I really wanted to write a review because one of the baristas – clearly on her way out could have just chosen to make her way out, but seeing a customer (being me) who could use her coffee that much quicker – I appreciated that she took the time. That’s a kind of customer service that’s, sadly, rare these days. Anyway, if you need a good cup and cozy vibes stop by.

I love a cozy cafe. In fact, that’s precisely what I typed into my Google maps search bar while my husband and I were randomly in the area and in need of a quiet place to get some work done. Catalano was not only the closest, but also the most well rated.
In this case, reviews didn’t lead us wrong. While the cafe is located in a somewhat random complex, there’s plenty of parking and what doesn’t like much on the outside leads to a warm, quiet and well-designed space on the inside. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I was immediately impressed by the heavy duty espresso machine that greets you at the counter. For fellow chai drinkers, I can assure you that the same care that’s given to coffee drinks are also given to other beverages. Some chai lattes can be overly spicy, but I liked the blend here.
Inside, there’s a good combination of tables and sofas to suit most needs, and there were even a few board games in the corner for those who want to have a little fun while sipping. On a Sunday afternoon, things were super chill and quiet (though bear in mind that the cafe has shortened hours of operation on Sundays). Finally, a quick shoutout to the sweet woman behind the counter who indulged us in a quick focus group as we were trying to design a logo.
Great atmosphere, fantastic people, and very decent beverages are to be found here. I didn’t get to try any of the pastries this time around, but I’ll hopefully be back again because they looked delectable.

Move over Starbucks! It would be great if every town had a warm place like Catalano’s Coffee Company. The coffee is by far the best! The atmosphere is cute and cozy. The staff are super friendly. I live in South Jersey and wish we had something like this. I would highly recommend stopping in having the same experience that I had. I’ll be back!

This just goes to show that people in NJ don’t know what good coffee is. Yes my critique is harsh because I’m in the coffee world. I was trying to find a good coffee shop while I was visiting family up here. First when you walk into this place it looks cool and it seems promising. But really baristas don’t know how to make coffee here they don’t pull their shots properly it was obvious from the espresso that I got and from The Latte that I got. They don’t weigh their shots out I watch them they don’t have parameters around dialing in their espresso.
So this is just another one of these pretend coffee shops that has all this hype around it.
The best coffee shop in NJ is probably Mod cup.
I also find it suspect when you don’t include any details on your coffee bags like elevation roast date etc.
Please do better and hire baristas that care.

Really awesome coffee with an amazingly friendly staff. Been here 3 times so far, and each visit increases my desire to return for a next time. I’m not one to drink coffee out much (always consider a cup of coffee that I don’t make at home a “treat”), but may have to treat myself a bit more regularly here! Love having a local coffee roaster so close, and can’t wait to treat myself to some beans!

Hands down, the best coffee in the immediate area. Had a couple of unique brews, including the mint, and was not disappointed. Great social and study seating options, and appreciate the ample private parking out front!
